1979 Porsche 911 Widebody Cabriolet Up for auction this very rare Porsche 911SC convertible with the M491 turbo steel widebody package. This pristine cabrio has less than 63,000 original miles on it! This 911 is in excellent condition in and out, the body and undercarriage are both super clean with not so much as a spot of rust, the interior is nearly flawless, the suspension is tight and responsive and mechanically the car is superb...it is a magnificent vehicle all around. -Exterior- The body is in near perfect condition, there is not a single spot of rust anywhere on this 911! All the glass , including the rear plastic window, is nice and clear with no scratches or hazing. Tires are practically brand new, with approximately 95+% of the tread remaining. Everything in the car works as it should including the power windows. -Interior- The interior is in excellent shape, including the seats, carpets and door panels. The dash is in mint condition with no cracks or imperfections. The carpets are clean and there are no strange odors. The original Blaupunkt radio is in great working condition. -Engine & Transmission- The engine is perfect, the 3.0 powerplant is perfectly tuned, runs strong, starts up on the first try each and every time and burns absolutely no oil. It runs and idles as it should, with no problems. It is a great running little Porsche, always (professionally) well maintained. The engine is completely dry and there are no leaks anywhere, even after sitting in the garage for a couple of weeks the garage floor is spotless. The car has undergone a thorough inspection a few months back and all issues have been addressed, I have recent receipts in excess of $6500 for the work done. The transmission shifts seamlessly through the gears with no slipping or grinding. There are no strange noises or vibrations from the engine or drive train, all you hear is the music of the flat six. The ride in this 911 is great, there are no squeaks, rattles or other unwanted noises, the car drives straight and true...there is nothing indicating this car is over 30 years old! I do not see any indication of the car ever being in an accident and imperfections, if there are any, are small and not worth mentioning, let alone being able to get a picture of them.
