Vehicle Detail

For those of you looking, you know about the real deal. Only 535 of the 1600 total of the throw back white/blue cars were convertibles made with the 30th Anniversary badging which includes: - Blue tinted wheels - Blue racing stripes - Embroidered head rests - White prado leather bucket seats - Dash plaque (each car individually numbered) - Blue & white leather folio - Plastic card for this specific car #1121 with specifications - 30th anniversary mats The car comes from the factory with the LS1 corvette 5.7 engine, 320HP with dual exhausts. The only add-ons include Bilstein performance shocks and Eibach Pro lowering springs (original springs and shocks will be included with the sale). She is a Sunday driver driven only 7.5K miles in 4 years. Always garaged. Never smoked in. No accidents. Also included: - Pirelli P-Zero performance tires installed with about 3500 miles on them - Parade boot with leather storage bag - Laminated window sticker reprint from Pontiac Historic Services - Information packet from GM Pontiac Canada factory with complete breakdown of the car, features and production numbers etc. - Build sheet - Original color brochure - Custom 30th Anniversary with eagle 3' x 3' vinyl sign with grommets for displaying at shows - Automatic transmission - New 7yr Exide battery - Custom plastic engine covers with 30th anniversary decals Clear title in hand. The car fax report shows more owners than actual. It considers previous auto dealers to be owners. I am aware of 3 actual previous owners. The report also shows a lien/loan record. The event is prior to my ownership. I purchased the car outright with funds wired to the dealership Texas Direct Auto. I have owned the car since 2007. Seat Wear - Seats are in excellent condition except the lower driver which is in very good shape with the some minor wear from the driver getting in and out. Fuel and Oil - Only premium gas and synthetic oil used since I purchased. She gets only the best. Note: The car has an auxillary port attached to the radio that allows you to listen to your ipod when tuned to a certain station on the car's Monsoon single CD stereo with EQ. This aux was installed by Best Buy. This was the best way to get the iPod to work without changing out the stereo and did not require any drilling into the dash to install. I like that the iPod can be plugged in and tucked in the console while driving. Call 508-366-0221 with any questions or to arrange a viewing/inspection. Disclaimers: 1) Actual miles may vary slightly as a result of bringing potentail buyers on a test drives/mechanic inspection. 2) I reserve the right to end the auction early as I am also listed the car locally. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In answer to a couple of questions up front: Reserve price: $18,500. This car has been appraised in person by a professional certified appraiser at $18,500 on June 27, 2011 as condition 1.5. The appraiser, Gerry R. Martel, is a member of the International Automobile Appraisers Association and is on the N.A.D.A. advisory board. Are the cracks in the door panels as typically happens with these cars? There is an 1" or so crack started on the driver side and a 1/4" on the passenger side. Barely noticeable. These were there when I purchased in '07. There was a fix published in Pontiac Performance magazine to prevent further cracking. This fix was applied by a local professional and the cracking has been completely stabilized. Do I have both key FOBs? I only have one. Any wheel curb rash? Yes. There is some wheel curb rash on the wheels here and there but nothing serious. Overall the wheels are in great condition with no problems with the blue tint. The side lettering "Trans Am" on this car is blue. I see other cars where this is white. How come? I've heard that some of these cars came from the factory with blue lettering. This car did have the white letters. I like the look of the blue lettering so I purchased the blue letters that were present on the 25th anniversary cars and had the white replaced by a professional. I still have the original white letters which will go to the new owner. I have also seen where some people by the blue decal letters and place them over the white. This tends to peel over time so I opted for the solid blue lettering. Any cracking or fading of color on the dash? No. Always garaged, very rarely out on overly hot days. Sun deflector always used on dash even on moderately hot days. Is the leather on the parking brake and shifter peeling or dried out? No. I use leather conditioner regularly on the seats. shifter, steering wheel, brake handle. They are in excellent shape. What condition is the parade boot in? Excellent condition. Always stowed away in carefully in the trunk when not in use. Any rips or holes in the convertible top? No.
