Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1969 Corvair Monza with 87,072 miles. This is a good running and driving project car. While I have owned the car I have put Wolf carburetors on, Pertronix electronic ignition, new mech. and electric fuel pumps, cleaned the gas tank, new fan belt, new battery, new rear brake shoes, rebuilt the master cylinder. The car starts and runs well. The car does need a new oil pan gasket and should have the trans filter and fluid changed and a front end alignment, I have not gotten those things done, The bodywork was started by the previous owner. It looks like he sanded some of the paint off, started some bodywork and then primed the whole car. The original color of the car was dark green. Their is typical Corvair rust on the rear wheel wells, bottoms of the front fenders and doors, by the front turn signals and by the windshield. That said it is beginning rust, this car is not a rust bucket by any means, it has good rockers, good floor boards, good trunk. Windshield trim is off car and in some boxes of misc. parts I received with the car. All of the spare parts go with the car, their are extra bumpers, front hood spears, dash pad, radio, seat belt hardware, door handles and misc. The interior is metallic green. The front seats are nice, good rear seat bottom cushion, top seat back has a burned area from having a rear view mirror laying on it during storage before I bought the car. The interior would need carpet and paint o be nice. All the instruments work, lights work, wipers work, turn signals work. Radio is not in the dash butr there is one that looks correct in the spare parts. This is a very decent last model year Corvair that deserves to be, painted finished and enjoyed. I have had the car for five years and have realized I will never get this project done so I should let it go to a new owner. I have tried to describe this Corvair as honestly as I could but please realize it is 42 year olld car, so there are no warranties expressed or implied. Please look carefully at the pictures and ask all questions before you bid, not after the auction ends. I am reserving the right to end the auction early as the car is for sale locally. Winning bidder will need to make a Paypal deposit for $500.00 within 24 hours of the end of the auction. I can store the car for a few weeks after the auction ends to allow the bidder to make arrangements to pick up the car. All shipping arrangements are the buyers responsiblity. Thanks for looking at this Corvair. AIR cooled is too COOL. On 7/16 I added pics to show the areas where rust is.
