Beautiful 1986 Porsche 944, I have owned this car since 08, it has been an extremely reliable car and kept indoors. It is a stock 2.5L original Porsche 944. The maintenance history is as follows, In 08 I had to put a catalytic converter on it. the rack and pinion had to be replaced. In 09 It developed the continious radiator fan running problem so the radiator sensor had to be replaced and was repaired the problem; the radiator cracked from screwing in and out the sensor so the radiator got replaced and is new. In 2010 the plugs were replaced with halo plugs (they burn hotter and give better mpg), the ac compressor bolts were replaced, the key iginition was repaired it had come loose internally over time and prevented car from starting. In 2011 the air filter was replaced, battery, brakes lights bulbs I figured if one was out and I have it open anyways might as well replace them all. Other than this I have only done oil changes I always use mobile one oil and napa gold oil filters. Other noteworthy things about this car: The paint was wet-sanded, buffed and a perma finish coat was applied (it protects the paint from scratches and uv damage) this was in Dec 08. The perma finish coating has a 6 year warranty and comes with the paperwork. In 2010 I obtained some black fuch rims from a 79 911, they are 7s in the front and 8s in the back. The fronts have 50/60% tread left, the rears are new with firestone firehawks with less than 500 miles on them. The underneath of this car comes coated with rust proofing. The AC is ice cold. When I got the car the carfax showed the odometer reading at 130k in dec 06 so a good estimated mileage is around 170k miles. The odometer does not work. The sunroof does not work, the motor works, its a stripped plastic gear. The clutch pedal does not retract fully, it retracts almost fully and retracts out of gear, again this isn't a big deal it is quite nice for quick shifting. The only thing that might be done is the driver side seat needs to be reupholstered, I have seat covers if desired. These defects are all Porsche 944 defects and extremely common. Other than that this car needs nothing and is in absolutely beautiful shape inside and out. It is excellent mechanically and has been up to date. The clutch is good and strong, the shifters a little notchy but this is normal and typical. I personally like it. It gets close to 30mpg highway with premium, I have always run premium through this Porsche. It has not been in any accidents in my possession nor do I believe it has been in any previous accidents, this Porsche is well preserved. The vehicle did pass emissions last year and previous years and I do have the emissions tests papers; in Georgia since the vehicle is now 25 years old, it no longer has to pass emissions. You just show up at the tag office and renew your tag, its quite nice. Winning bidder will have to make arrangements to meet me in person with cash, we will go to the bank(Suntrust) around the corner let them count it so I can be assured there are no fake bills and I will immediately hand and sign over the title for the 944.
