If you are reading this you know what these cars are all about and have seen recent sales sore in a poor economy. CAR IS A 1985 EBAY WON'T TAKE EURO VIN# I am reluctantly putting this vehicle up for sale as I am moving and have too many cars to move. This is not a hardship sale so NO low ball offers and NO trades or deals of any sort wanted. Car is cosmetically challenged but looks fine from 5 feet. Paint is respray as original color was pearl white which is still evident in jambs and compartments making correcting easily done. Have note from orig importer noting fender damaged in shipping and reason for color change so it has been this way since late 80's. Interior is all there but needs good cleaning and a headliner. Seats are not torn but have usual for this car loose fabric. Pics show 2 side vents missing but they are included. Honestly with a clean up and polish it looks fine to drive as is. These are LeCars not Porsche's so fit and finish was never great. Mechanically car is in great shape with almost all systems just redone. Car just needs final road tune and maybe minor adjustments but can go as is. Major mechanical go through just completed. Engine was redone to higher HP specs approx 10k miles ago. Has hotter cams and larger intercooler. Has compression within 8% of all cylinders. Service: Total brake system disassembly and flush, rebuilt calipers,new seals, master cylinder rebuild, stainless lines, new hard lines where needed, new street and new track Ferrdod pads included ( cost $200) Master brake switch works freely which most don't. Rotors cut and shimmed to under .002 runout. Clutch system as above with rebuilt master, rebuilt slave, SS line front to rear Magnecore ignition wires, new cap/rotor, New done by Aeroquip dealer oil lines and system flush Rebuilt turbo, new silicone hoses, new clamps, intake system cleaned New High output alternator and charge wire Injectors flowed, matched and cleaned 1 new one all others matched to it, new seals (expensive and impossible to find) All new done by Aeroquip dealer SS injector lines New accumulator, filter and filter lines Custom heat shield that is undetectable when assembled to lower fuel temps Custom oil accumulator again looking OEM Custom starter and clutch slave heat shield look stock Every sensor checked and verified in working order. Fuel pressures checked and set, custom adjustable WUR. All hoses new with new clamps Bilge fan operating, new electric fan for radiator runs cool even idling for 45 minutes in 90 deg day New Valvoline VR1 New Mobil 1 gear oil New exhaust gaskets, valve cover gaskets, wrinkle paint, etc New outer tie rods, rebuilt inner tie rods, rebuilt rack, replaced column bushings New upper and lower ball joints ETC, ETC Car was not being built to sell. I went through every system piece by piece using Renault manuals to set everything to factory specs and torque. All dash electricals work and even euro lights are now functioning AFR set at idle and throughout range is good as checked with wideband. I would check at WOT and cruise. Has 2 sets of wheels origibnal TRX needing tires and aftermarket 15" which are on car also needing tires. This opens up tire possibilities Toyo has 235's for rear and 225's for front which are close to factory demensions. Needs a couple lug nuts depending on wheels used. Wheel studs are all chased and 4 new ones where needed. This is probably the lowest cost R5 on the market. Do not think this is a train wreck or pieced together deal. You have almost $20k play with and will be in better running and driving shape then the so called low mile cars fro that price. These are high HP turbo cars that require maintenance and not just quick spark plug redo. This car has all the hard work done and is pretty much ready to go if you can look past the cosmetics. Please look at the $40k cars 1st as you will see the original quality wasn't that good to begin with. You will then see the value in this car. That said all R5's are Grey Market cars. This car has all the Import paperwork when it was imported. It was imported into FLA and registered there for years. It is currently titled in MI as I never switched to my name. It is signed by previous owner and "New Owner" is left open. I will provide bill of sale. Car has euro vin number on apron.If this is an issue do not bid. I have no idea of EPA regs in every State but I would say ok except California. Does not have Lambda set up. I am selling in as is condition and do not want any hassles.
