Vehicle Detail

Selling my 1930 roadster. A bare bones repro body will get you for $7800 after crating and shipping then you have to buy all the parts- my cars a real good start and a better option. Its spent the last 30 years or so under a carport and is in barnfind condition. Please look at all the pictures and email me with any questions prior to bidding. Its a late 30 with a 31 radiator shell and other antique "modern" updates from back in the day. The car is in good overall shape but does need full restoration. It has a recent battery, plugs, and misc tune-up parts. It was running up until about a week ago when I was trying do a tune up and just don't have the knowledge appearently to do it right because it wont start for me now. If I has to guess I would say the carb may need a rebuild and I could have burned out the new coil I had just replaced. I just dont have the time or interest to keep playing with it so I am selling it as is as a non-running/driving car. Someone could get it going, drive it as is and get lots of attention at local cruise nights. The body was patched and painted maybe 30+ years old and is flaking in spots and was touched up to keep it from rusting (see dark spots). The body frame rails are real decent as shown. There are a few patches that looked much larger then what was needed- all done decades before I owned it. I have the old and a set of new door latches, the mounting areas needs repair and strengthening. The front seat does have a small amount of rust at the corner where water must have collected years ago. It included both seat custions for the rumble seat and the bottom cusion for the front seat. It has a deluxe windshield and top irons you will need the new wood bowes and the roof kit. One rear fender has a small rip in the bead thats repairable and the other fenders look real decent and should look real nice with a little attention. There are a couple boxes of parts including an original type steering wheel, a horn, horn/light rod, a through the cowl style manifold heater assembly, extra mechanical parts etc. Selling with an official CT Bill of Sale H-31 only. I don't have any old registrations or title. The cars been off the streets for decades and CT isn't a title state anyways for cars this old so you get the CT Bill of sale only. Funds must clear before before the car is released. Sell to the contenential US only. No bidders with less then 5 positive feedbacks unless you contact me first- I reserve the right to remove bidders or sell it off line as its for sale locally. Deposit of $150 due with 48 hours of auction close and full payment within 7 days of auction close. Pick-up should be within 2 weeks of auction close but I could give you 4 weeks if I know in advance and the car is fully paid for. Remember bidding means your entering a legally binding agreement to buy the car. Please don't bid unless you already have the funds available, a way to get the car to you, checked with the spouse etc. I won't personally ship or deliver.
