Up for sale is this 1988 Toyota Supra. It is a project car and has to go due to job loss. Car currently is not running. It was running fine about 6 months ago when the starter failed. I replaced the starter and it now cranks but does not stay on. According to the computer diagnostics on this car, the "AC switch" and "Throttle Position Sensor" are bad. I am not sure if the "Throttle Position Sensor" is causing the no start condition. Car ran perfect and other than the no start, there are no issues. The car had the engine replaced at one point in its life and they blew the upper head. My mechanic reworked the upper engine and engine is in perfect working order. I actually purchased this from my mechanic about 9 months ago. The car shifts perfectly as well. AC does not cool, however engine diagnostic says the AC switch is bad. This is a good starting point for the new owner. Cable for rear hatch does not work so you cannot open trunk/rear hatch. Interior is in clean condition. Center cosole lid missing and one small hole on dash. Very clean otherwise. Body has dings and dents here and there from normal wear and tear. It looks like some parts of the car may have had body work at one point in its life. There is no rust anywhere on the body. Tires still have quite a bit of tread and orignal alloy wheels are in good condition. This car has a SOLID chassis. They don't make them like this anymore. There are guys out there putting up to 900 HP on these cars with no problem. This is the NON Turbo version of the Supra.
