Hello Bidders. I'm selling my 2000 Ford Explorer XLS. This car is perfect for someone looking for a basic SUV that runs well, starts every time, great for towing and is available at a reasonable price. It is my second vehicle and I no longer need two. It was a great second vehicle. It has all the types of wear and tear you would expect in an 11 year old, 150k mile vehicle. I drove it around town today to make sure everything was fine with it. The vehicle's inspection was up in May. I'm not a mechanic but I'm highly optimistic it will pass again, as I have only drove it about a half dozen times since then. I'll do my best to describe the vehicle as accurately as possible. Pros: Starts right up every time Shifts well Interior in good shape, not really any rips, but some paint marks, missing bezels on the door handles and the center console is broken. Excellent tires, drives great in the snow Good driver. Expect to get in this and be able to drive all over town. Tow package, includes hitch and aftermarket tranny cooler No signs of weakness in motor New brakes and rotors in May 2010 Priority Start installed so battery cannot drop below starting voltage Excellent tread on tires, great in snow! Cons: 11 years and 150k of wear and tear on interior and exterior. Has some rust, bumps, scrapes on exterior. Interior as described above No radio installed ABS light on Oil pressure gage sticks. The oil pressure is fine, but once in a while the gage will stick for a few seconds and the check engine light goes on, then it releases to normal and the engine light goes off Not sure if the 4x4 works properly Driver door lock does not work properly. All in all I am happy to sell this to someone with confidence that they are getting a vehicle that starts and runs, will be perfect for someone who wants to us this as a basic SUV at a reasonable price.
