Vehicle Detail

ENGINE: 2.3L Ford Pinto, Eslinger Intake Manifold, Mallory ignition, Racing Cam, High Velocity Oil Pump, Deep Sump Oil Pan and Top Oiler Set Up. Maintains 50 lbs. pressure. New Triple Core Radiator, New Timing Belt, New Battery, Headers. TRANSMISSION: Four Speed full Synchro. SUSPENSION: Double A-Arm with Rack and Pinion Steering, Rear Swing Axel with Coil-Overs and New Read Shocks, Disc Brakes in back only, Plumbed for Front Disc Brakes. Coker Tires all around, 2" Tubular Frame wraps around inside of cab for safety and protection for driver and passenger unlike a T-bucket that sits on top of the rails. Car weighs 1350 lbs. and dynos out at 150 +HP. The horsepower to weight ratio is pretty good, so it scoots right along. It has a 6 gallon aluminum fuel cell and gets about 30 MPG, making it affordable to drive. I've owned this car for about 7 years and it is really fun to drive. On my way home from Pittsburg I was told by some guys that own a crane shop just outside the Indianapolis Speedway that it appears to have been some kind of a race car at one time. It goes like a little Banshee!!! I drove it from Pittsburg to Wichita (approx. 1100 miles) in a day and a half and it didn't skip a beat. It tracks like a go-cart on steroids! Many of the parts on this vehicle have been fabricated by someone who apparently knew what they doing. There are a couple of small cracks on the turtle deck not shown in the pictures that are easily fixable. Car runs strong and I enjoy driving it, but I turned 70 this year and the wife says it's time to sell the toy. I was told by the person that I bought the car from that the drive train had about 7K miles on it and I've put about 3K miles on it since. I have about $8500 invested in it, but my reserve is WAY below that. This may well be the best buy on Ebay for a fun roadster that won't break the bank! I have described this vehicle to the best of my ability and am willing to answer any questions you may have. There is no guarantee either written or implied, but I have a solid 100% feedback rating so you can bid with confidence. A deposit of $1000 within 48 hours is required after purchase, the balance may be paid by either PayPal, cashiers check, or direct bank wire. I would be willing to deliver vehicle within 300 miles for just my expenses or will try to help with shipping arrangements if needed. The vehicle is currently registered in Idaho, but is located presently in the Sacramento, California area.
