Vehicle Detail

A extremely rare and classic 50's convertible. These Plymouths are one of the prettiest top down cars ever to come from Detriot. Originally finished in peroid perfect M int green and white. Condition of this car is a bit unusal so please read the discription carefully. This is truly a barn find in storage since 1996. Car originally sold and driven in Southern California. The car is equipped with 318 V8, pushbutton torqueflite automatic transmission, power steering, power top, radio, heater and clock. Car comes with fender skirts. The engine runs perfectly, all cylinders compression test between 145 and 155 pounds. I have rebuilt the carburetor, tuned it and changed the oil and filter. As I stated the car starts and runs beautifully does not overheat and has 37 pounds oil pressure at idle warm. Transmission engages instantly with no slippage and shifts and downshifts correctly. Steering is tight cars drives very well. Service brakes are firm, high pedal and stop well with no pull. Parking brake works correctly. This car does not leak any fluid. Not engine, tranmission, steering, or rear end oil. Does not use or leak coolant. All electrical work including generator, turn, tail, brake and headlights (except the broken left headlight). Interior is in fair to good condition, no rips or tears very usable for a driver but will need some work to be in top condition. Tires are old. Grille is in excellent condition. Top has 3 rips in it repairable if you would want. Top is not rotten, back window is good and would not need replacement if the rips were repaired. Floors show a few SMALL and isolated spots of rust. None in trunk, two spots in right trunk extension, none in left. Four quarter size spots in floor and a larger area on each side above frame at front seat (3x6 inch). Rockers are perfect. Floors will not need rplacment just a couple of spots of work. I have tried to show photos to show these spots. Frame is perfect no rust at all. Windshield is ruined and will need to be replaced (I may have one I am checking). Side glass good all windows roll up and down. Car is complete with all fixtures and stainless. The bad part is this the car has EXTENSIVE BUT REPAIRABLE HAIL DAMAGE. I included photos to show these are large hail dents but very repairable with a normal industry standard paint job. Stainless will need to be polished and straightened. This is a car that can be driven and enjoyed today or great canidate for restoration. These will bring $40 to$50 thousand at auction in nice number two condition. Car is located in Austin, Mn. please come inspect and drive if you can before bidding. If you cannot and you are the winning bidder you can have up to 10 days for you or your representitive to inspect. If you do not want the car you will be refunded $750.00 ($1000 less the Ebay listing fee). $1000.00 deposit via paypal within 24 hours end of auction. Remaining amount via cashiers check upon delivery. Clean Minnesota title. Please check my feedback. I will misrepresent the condition of a car. Email me question or call John at 507 279-0752. More photos upon request. On Jul-11-11 at 05:07:14 PDT, seller added the following information: I made an error in the discription. The second to the last sentence should read "I will not misrepresent the condition of a car". Sorry, that shouldn't make that much of a difference. JohnOn Jul-14-11 at 11:49:14 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had so many request for a "buy-it-now" price I will address it now in the listing. There is not a " buy it now price". The final auction bid will be the purchase price. Whomever wins the bidding will be the next owner. Should that person not be able to complete the transaction I will contact the runner-up bidder and they will be able to purchase the car. One other item, a previous owner contacted me to tell me this car appeared in the movie PULP FICTION. I rented the movie and sure enough there she was in the Jackrabbit Slims Cafe scene. Check it out if you want. Thanks for your interest John
