SHORT DESCRIPTION: This is an amazingly original BARN FIND, its a REAL DEAL 1964 1/2 mustang. Parked in the barn since the mid 1970's in a salt free state. This car has a WILD 289 4 barrel motor, and 4 speed, with the 9" rear end. It also has a WILD 'rumbling exhaust' SOUND! Its looks awe imspiring and it is a flat out traffic stopper! She gets compliments everywhere you go. Its ALL reconditioned original, Or brand new USA parts. RUST FREE, cool custom paint job. and very finely detailed. Simply said, This is an amazing car, and you can't build this cool of a car for the price it will sell for! So it will always be worth more than you pay for it. Thanks for looking and BID TO WIN, No reserve auction! Somebody will have a new car when this is done. -be sure to see the youtube videos of this car! Long detailed description with the details for the serious buyer.... Your found a very rare car, and very customized mustang just the way you want it! This car looks fast sitting still, and its even faster on the road. This car was built July 6th 1964 -making her a TRUE 1964 1/2 mustang. It holds all the 1964 sheet metal EXCEPT the outer 'shell' or 'skin' of the passenger door which was replaced durring the paint job. Other than that its all original shet metal BONDO & RUST FREE! This is one of the most bondo/rust free 64 stangs you will find anywhere. The mustang originally came with the 260 V8 and c4 automatic transmission, (those are nothing to be too proud of) Fortunatly it was upgraded!!!!! It now has a 1965 (late 64 production) hipo 289 V8 motor, AND the matching hipo close ratio MANUAL 4 speed, WITH the hurst competion shifter, AND competition clutch, AND it has the correct 1964/65 9" MUSTANG hipo rear end - yup its a locker too-. Lastly to help out it has some traction bars. -in laymens terms, This is as good as it got in the mid 1960's! This is the holy grail for mustang drive train! This is the famed "K" code running gear. This is upwards of $10,000.00+ in running gear upgrades. It has air shocks on the back, to pump up for a drag race, Or lower for a pro-street look. In the first 4 pics the air is out, giving her a "prostreet" look. In the last 2 pics they are pumped up for the Drag look! BODY: The body has 1 mile since the paint job (I will drive the car some this week and get vids, so it will have 25 miles or less on the new paint job when you take possesion). The paint is PPG Urithane "hi-lite blue pearl", a blue metalic, AND a light blue pearl! Those white stripes are urithane paint too, not tape. The car has a $7500.00+ custom paint job. (painted down low on the rockers, Jams, inside every nook and crany, detailed detailed detailed, its not skimpy on the painting like most cars, (any more detials, would mean a rotisery car at twice the price). Its also been wet sanded and buffed out to have a mirror reflection. In the bright sun its looks more "light blue, even a greenish tinge" thanks to the pearl. In the shade its DARK BLUE (As shown in pics). Body mods: It has the Shelby Cobra GT350 R "Race" vallance, and the GT350R hood scoop & side brake scoops, + hood pins. Carrol Shelby built 2 1965 mustang coupes like this (one was crushed the other 'vanished'). The scoops are NOT bolted on, they are actually moulded into the body, and look like part of the car. Interior: The car has all original chrome and glass, the dash pad is original, & even the headliner is original, it has the original am radio. It does however have a new carpet, new upholstered seats, & new door panels. Everything else was able to be polished and re-used. This car is amazingly original for a 'resto-mod'. The rally-pack TACH works! This is another original 1964 ford part. The steering wheel is the wood deluxe wheel, the glove box has the original liner.. and the originallity of the car just goes on... The motor: The motor has a Edelbrock torquer intake, it has a 750 holley double pumper on top of that, it has an upgraded cable throttle too. Good old 1960's M/T valve covers! Other goodies include, duel 2 1/2" exhaust, hooker long tube headers, FACTORY POWER BRAKES, AND FACTORY POWER STEERING! The motor has all new belts/hoses, and Braided S/S hoses. Working generator car! New wirelooms, Detailed 'OEM 1964' underhood black. etc... Inside the motor she has a lot of performance goodies, like a racing cam, Deep sump oil pan, and other $pendy parts that only an ASE mechanic can decode! (BUT THEY ARE THE GOOD STUFF)! It can easily peg the 6,000 rpm tach and has a lot of throttle left. This car was a low mile 'barn find', and I built it the way I think a muscle car should be built. Some would call this car a trailer queen, with a book value of $30,000.00 some wouldn't want to drive it, BUT its built to be driven! and Its going to sell, so bid to win! Somebody is getting an amazing car here. Thanks for looking and be sure to check out the video links to see the car in action! -More links added during the auction.
