First impressions upon driving the car were incredible, the powertrain in this car is AMAZING! To this day the powertrain still amazes me with its silky smooth delivery. As the car is originally from Florida the body is in great shape, and appears to never have been hit. I have included pics so you can see for yourself. I have maintained this BMW with the intention of keeping it to 200k+ miles, but plans have changed. Unfortunately, because I have purchased a larger boat, the car must go to be replaced with a truck to tow the boat around. During my tenure of ownership, I have had the following fixed or replaced:- Clutch & hydraulics (90k miles, $1300)- Driver front caliper- HVAC head unit ($400+)- Alternator- Drivers side window regulator (3 weeks ago)- Thermostat- Spark plugs- Shifter knob- Windshield washer fluid motor I have always run super premium gas, and always used Mobil-1 synthetic oil with a quality (NAPA Gold or genuine BMW) oil filter. The tires shown on the car have less than 5,000 miles on them, and are hi-performance summer tires. This BMW is not perfect, but shows very well. It could use attention in the following areas:- Passenger side foglight is cracked- Air conditioning needs to be recharged- Windshield has developed a crack within the last 2 weeks- The stereo works intermittently, I believe it to be the premium sound amplifier When I purchased the car, the gentleman said he had additional clearcoat reapplied to the vehicle. Unfortunately, whomever did the work didn't prep the paint enough and some of the clearcoat is now flaking. It has been this way as long as I have owned the car.The door panels aren't perfect, as shown, but function fine. This car has never left me stranded. It is a pleasure to drive, gets great fuel economy (31mpg highway and low 20s in town), and turns heads. The second set of wheels are genuine BMW steel wheels.
