Up for auction is a 1997 Ford Ranger, with 127,122 miles. It is a 5-speed standard with overdrive, and a 4-cylinder engine. It has power steering, AM/FM Cassette, and AC (blows cold in winter! needs charge?). Reserve is set at $1,000. Below I have divided its characteristics and features into three convenient categories… The Good: - Original owner - Dealer maintained- Runs well- Body is pretty nice (comes pre-scuffed!) - American Racing alloy wheels- Truck cap- Bed liner- Vinyl seats- Original floor mat in decent condition... the photo of the seat is by far the worst of the interior. - Excellent gas mileage for a pick-up truck! - Passed emissions - Good old fashioned crank windows! You can roll ‘em up and down… - Front tires are all season in pretty good shape, and the back ones are snows in very good condition. The Bad: - Front brake lines are currently sealed off, MUST BE REPLACED! - Needs parking brake cables (sticking, currently disconnected)- Back bumper (See photos) - Scuffs and bruises, the worst is documented in photos. - 14 Connecticut winters = rust underneath. - Minor exhaust leak- AC? The Ugly: - The front bumper has a little bit of rust, while the back rust has a little bit of bumper! Other: - The rake and coffee cups shown in the pictures are included if you would like them! The bottom line: A great truck with potential, needs some work and a safety check. Great gas mileage (27 highway, See window sticker)! A truck’s truck, just smaller. Buy it, but replace those front brake lines! As is, where is! No warranty (I am not a business, just a guy reluctantly parting with his truck).
