1980 Honda CB

I am selling my daily rider 1980 Honda Super Sport. I love this bike! She may not be the fastest, but she corners like a dream. Very fun to ride on the curvy mountain roads. My wife wants me to buy a bigger bike, with a backrest, so we can both go 'cruising' thru the mountains together. I am approximately the 4th owner of this bike. It had around 16,500 miles on it when I bought her two years ago. I cleaned the carbs, used KREEM sealer on the gas tank (nothing wrong with it, just being proactive), replaced the seat, have changed the oil, religiously, every 3000 miles, and had it painted. Both tires have been replaced. The front has about 5,000 miles on it and the back has less than 1,000. I replaced the rear brake pads and the fronts are still good. I have an extra seat with pan, and a couple of blinkers. The Pirate decals can be removed - they were put on after it was painted. Now for the 'issues': Front brake - I replaced the front brake master cylinder and reservoir, so it's not original. I have the original master cylinder and reservoir if you want it. Exhaust - The headers were slightly rusted, so I tried painting them black. You can see primer in some of the pic's. There are a couple of dents in the header at the bottom. Nothing major. Front forks - the right seal is leaking just a little. I have new seals for it but not sure I'll get to it before I sell it. Mileage - this is not really an issue. I replaced the speedo and tach with an odometer that read 1,000 miles more than what the bike actually had. So, it really has around 22,000 miles on it. Horn - the horn button does not work. Chrome and finish - Not bad for a 31 year old bike, but there are a few rust spots on the chrome and some blemishes and rust spots on the rear grab handles. Front Fender - ran it into the tailgate of my truck. No cracks in it, but the paint is now peeling and it's 'slightly' bent. Side covers - both of the side covers have one connector broken off. There are still 2 good ones on each cover and I've never had any problems with them. EMail me for additional pictures. I am selling the bike 'As Is', with no warranty. I have attempted to describe any and all problems, but I am not a motorcycle mechanic. I ride this bike to work every day when the sun is shining, and ride the curvy mountain roads on the occasional weekend, and haven't had any problems with it. I have a clear title. Deposit of $150.00 expected within 24 hours of auction close with the balance in cash due when picking the bike up. I will not ship the bike, but I will work with you if you arrange shipping.
