Vehicle Detail
Incredible 1951 Chevrolet 2 Ton survivor with a very solid cab. Although the TRUCK has seen very little use in recent years, it starts easily, shifts well and can easily climb up your hauler, carring a full load. To travel further, will NEED TIRES, the ones on it are cracked but are round and hold air. This old TRUCK is amazing! Recent documented work includes a new clutch, new brakes, new water pump, new starter and new plugs and wires. 12 volt conversion has been done. Headlites, turn signals and brakelights all work. After towing it home, replaced exhaust manifold gaskets on the 235 6 cylinder, replaced valve cover gasket, adjusted valves, repaint of valve cover, replaced fuel filter and it now sounds and runs even better. This old truck TRUCK is freshened up! ATTENTION: It is not emplied that this TRUCK is ready to go to work. Although it runs and drives, the TRUCK is sold as a project only. Unless purchased locally, it will need to be towed or hauled. It has been driven only in parades the past few years. With recent improvements, it is even a better TRUCK than it has been but is not road ready. THE CAB: Oh baby, you seldom find them like this! It has very little rust on the cab. The floors have surface rust only. Typically, the bottom rear of the cab would be be rusty on an unrestored TRUCK of this vintage but, not on this TRUCK. The only deep rust is shown on top of the cab, near the glass and (hole for antenna?) The interior is in great shape, as shown. Seat has been recovered, needs nothing. Headliner is rusty and bare, as shown. A nice job has been done on the door panels. The windows roll up and down. The door handles work fine, in and out. THE GLASS: Well just look at that glass, excellent! THE FLATBED: Needs new plywood. THE REST: Buyer will R&R the horn, wipers, speedometer and several other things I will forget to mention as part of getting the TRUCK road-ready. It is sold as a project. OTHER: Although this TRUCK is a great resto project, the cab would sit great on your Dually frame or whatever. Have title. good luck on this TRUCK!
