Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This 1983 CB1000 Custom is in GREAT SHAPE and ready to ride. I am the second owner of this fine classic motorcycle. The original owner took a lot of pride in this bike and kept it in excellent condition and made sure to perform all scheduled maintenance. The CB 1000 was only made in 1983 and they are becoming extremely rare especially in this condition. There extremely well made and Honda used all the technology from CB750's and CB900's and refined both to make the CB1000. The motorcycle is in excellent running condition. The engine fires right up and when warmed up and with the choke off it idles at 1050 RPM. The charging system works properly and there are no electrical problems whatsoever. The lights and signals all work as they should. In April of this year bike was completely gone thru to include: Replacing the spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, engine oil and oil filter. I also replaced the transfer case and shaft drive gear oil. Finally, I replaced the front brake pads and bled the front and rear master cylinder with fresh dot 3 oil. The front fork seals were also replaced and the forks were filled with fresh fork oil. The clutch was adjusted and had all carbs synced and balanced. The bike runs and shifts extremely well. It does not smoke and idles very smoothly. Tires are new and were replaced by the previous owner early last year. He had an extremely hard time finding them and after they special ordering them got lucky from an old friend. Cosmetically all upgrades previous owner did to this bike were incredible and it shows in the pictures we have provided. The original Honda exhaust is completely solid with no exhaust leaks and ALL chrome throughout this Honda is showroom quality and flawless. Paint is in excellent shape as this bike has been garaged and protected by its original owner for almost 25 years. The chrome pieces he replaced with old all have exceptional shine and our pictures don't do them justice. The seat is in excellent shape and has no tears or is not faded. The previous owner who added chrome engine guards and all the other chrome casings. You can see that this motorcycle really turned out beautiful. This CB1000c compared to all others has been maintained and customized like no other on EBay. Even people who ride Harley's are amazed and shocked when they see this machine drive by. It is a beautiful display of motorcycle engineering at its finest, and who ever gets her will be like stepping back in 1983 and doing it all over again... :)
