Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a very nice very original 1987 Buick Grand National (not T-type). It is black of course with grey interior like they all were. It is in very nice original condition. I bought this vehicle a year or two ago from a good friend of mine and it is awesome. Exterior - The exterior is in very nice original condition. I don't think it has a ding on it but has some very minor scratches. No visible rust. There is a small spot at the front corner of the driver door that is starting to bubble. It has not gotten any worse over the past 4-5 years (I have been known this vehicle for some time). Other than that, the exterior is very nice. The wheels are in very nice condition as well. Interior - The inside of this car is in very nice original condition also. Everything looks excellent. The only blemish I can think of is the ring around the horn on the steering wheel. It is cracked and discolored like virtually every Grand National. Also, the chrome finish in the turn signal is starting to peel but has been repaired. Mechanical - This car runs and drives extremely well. It has been very well taken care of over the years. The AC blows cold and has been converted to R134a. The Firestone guy questioned the mileage on the car "are you sure this thing has 102k?" because it is so nice. This car hasn't been "restored". It has just been very well taken care of over the years. The trans fluid has recently been changed along with the lock up torque converter switch (common GN problem as well). The front brakes have recently been replaced (pads and rotors). Modifications - I just installed a slightly larger TA49 turbo on the car with larger injectors and a matching chip. It also now has an open K&N style air filter, a fuel pressure gauge under the hood, and a boost gauge on the pillar. The exhaust is a 2 1/2" aftermarket system. The car did not have a cat when I purchased it. The only thing I can think of that does not work properly is the power antenna - it only goes up and down 2/3 of the way - but it does work. Please bid with confidence. I have been on Ebay for over a decade and sell virtually all of my cars on Ebay and still have a 100% feedback rating. I will be driving the car periodically so the mileage may go up slightly. On Jun-27-11 at 08:14:08 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that the TA49 turbo was newly rebuilt by PTE over the winter. I still have the stock original turbo - it will go with the car if you want it. I have the car advertised locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Also, the reserve is a bit under the BIN price. You are welcome to make an offer. If it is over the reserve I may accept it by adjusting the BIN so you can purchase it immediately. Of course once the reserve is met the BIN disappears. Good luck!
