Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my super rare fully restored 1967 Chevrolet Camaro 5-speed convertible. To understand the uniqueness of this vehicle one only needs to search all first gen Camaros on e-Bay then sort by manual trans with a convertible top. Usually less than 10 units are for sale and and most are very expensive. Most probably none with a 5 speed. Mine has the right stuff, turns heads everywhere it goes, provides a visceral driving experience, sounds great, and is priced reasonably. This is originally a 327 3-speed car; many original features remain including shaker bottles in all four corners. Description is as follows: *Running gear - 383 stroker motor, nicely detailed engine compartment; 10 bolt posi rear 3:55 gears. Makes great oil pressure, very fast, launches well and easy on the highway. Power steering, power brakes, front discs / rear drums. Suspension "as new." Hurst Transmission conversion kit including Tremec TKO 5 Speed with 0.68 overdrive, Hurst shifter (centers shift stick in console), Hurst angled shift stick, new tubular cross member, Zoom high performance clutch, and new drive shaft. The transmission really does this car right. No longer will you be cruzing on the highway at 75MPH and 3700rpm. Now at 75MPH the car runs at about 2200-2300rpm with plenty of pull in overdrive or drop into 4th to really move. New exhaust, 30 series FlowMaster mufflers sounds great. 4 bbl Holly 650 double pumper carb; aggressive but streetable cam. Estimated 400 bhp. *Exterior - perfect, no rust, no dings on body panels, great gaps, laser straight all around. House of Kolors Sunrise Pearl two-stage incredible paint, no orange peel, great coverage, simply an outstanding paint job inside and out. My significant other says it's orange, I think it's yellow, you judge for yourself, but it's a stunning color. *Wheels & Tires - Chrome Krager 15" wheels wrapped in brand new BF Goodrich TA Radials, both in excellent condition. *Interior - fully restored, dash, door panels, seats, carpet, gauges, steering wheel, all in new or excellent condition. Close to flawless. *Convertible top - fully powered, new, seats perfectly, super clear rear window, new boot. *Radio - 200W "classic Look" AM/FM/Digital input. This radio is designed to look like the original but has 200W, and FM. It also has an input for your Ipod or other digital device. The radio has a powered amplified FM antena in the dash (no holes in panels). Two front speakers (4 inch) are new as well as there are two removable boxes that sit on the back seat. They are easily removed for showing the car but slide into place for luxury driving. Truly a show-quality fully restored very driveable car. Please call email with questions or a contact number and I will get back to you. Please make sure your finances are in order before you bid. I can help with all shipping logstics but prefer that you pick the car up. Reserve is very reasonable. I feel I've described the car accurately and to the best of our knowledge. I am dvertising locally and reserve the right to end the auction early. Extra parts: Original 4 speed Close-ratio Muncie gear box (rock crusher) transmission ( needs rebuild) with original drive shaft, shifter, shift stick, and cross member. Original AM radio. I purchased a front end camber adjustment for this car. Rather simple to install and improves cornering and stablity at speed. It is in the box ready to be installed.
