I am selling my 1998 Dodge Dakota because the body has broken down to a price where I can't repair it. It has a number of problems with it and to totally fix it would cost more than I can afford.Here are the things it needs:- New brake pads, rotors and probably links- The front right wheel shakes and might even make it un-driveable, I'm not a car guy so I'm unsure- The ENTIRE exhaust system is rusted and falling apart. I know the Y-Pipe is bad- Rear shocks are bad- Rear Leaf Springs are broke- Missing both rear 1/4 panel windows. (I know you can buy both for a total of $100 from a junk yard- 1 of the gasoline tank straps are broken I guessI am sure it has other problems but I believe someone who has a little bit of money and knows how to fix up cars can put this truck back together and make a profit on it. I am just not one of those people. I love this Dakota more than anything and it was def my baby so this is heartbreaking to have to get rid of it, just can't afford to help it. As you can see from the pictures right above both wheel wells are rusted out. I used Black Rustoleam Spray Paint to help protect them. It has worked really well and actually covered up all the rust and looks 100x better. The interior of the truck is actually in fair condition and is fine. I never broke anything in there with a football like I did with the windows so everything in there is good. ITS A GREAT TRUCK AND I LOVE IT TO DEATH BUT JUST CAN'T HELP IT. I will take more pictures if anyone wants them and email them to you, just ask. This truck may be past the point of repair but it could be parted out to. I have never had a problem with the engine and believe everything is all right in there. I put oil in it every 2500 miles (because I loved it so much and that was all I could afford to actually maintain). The tires are over a year old but seem to have enough tread on them for one more winter maybe. IF YOU LOVE TRUCKS AND LIKE WORKING ON THEM... THIS IS YOUR TRUCK.
