Vehicle Detail
This 1967 Mustang convertible belongs to my girlfriend. She purchased it about 3 years ago on e-bay from a seller in MO. The car is finished in Daytona blue and appears to be mostly original. The mileage appears correct (based upon condition) but cannot be verified. The rear QTRs appear to have been re-skinned and the trunk lid may also have been replaced. The 289 motor appears to be original to the car and runs smooth. The three speed transmission shifts normally although there is a very small leak where the linkage enters the transmission.Since she's owned the car we've replaced the front and rear suspensions, new front end kit, installed power front disc brakes (replacing the manual drums) and had the original 2 barrel carb re-built. The car now handles and brakes wonderfully. The power convertible top appears to be original and works in both directions but there is a leak in the passenger side piston that will need to be addressed. The rear plastic window is clear but the top is worn in spots and should be replaced.. All glass is good without cracks or chips. The paint looks like a re-spray of the original color but is worn and weak. There are several surface rust spots where the paint has chipped off which are pictured. There does not appear to be any other rust issues present. Doors, trunk and hood all open and close properly. All chrome and bright-work is in place, with some dings, pitting and scratches in places. The interior, seats, dash, door panels all appear to be original with no rips, tears or cracks. The carpet is faded but not too badly worn. Drive and enjoy it as is or restore it.
