Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1971 Chevrolet Camaro Z28. This is a REAL Z28, NOT a clone. The car has been completely restored with approximately 2,500 miles on it since completion. Nearly everything on the whole car is new, rebuilt or refurbished. This is a turn-key car - it starts, runs, drives & great! I have set a very reasonable reserve on the car, so bid to win. If you are seriously interested, e-mail me for my phone number & we can discuss the car. Now for a more detailed description, with pics to follow… Engine: the engine is NOT numbers matching, but in it’s place is a completely rebuilt big block Chevy 402 (1971 vintage). It has has had the following done to it: -crankshaft ground -cylinders bored -heads machined -new valves -new roller tip rocker arms -new rings, pistons, bearings, cam, lifters, timing chain, etc. -balanced -new Edelbrock Performer intake -new distributor, plugs & Delco wires -new Holley carb -new factory style chrome valve covers -new factory style chrome air cleaner & decal -new ribbed heater hoses & tower clamps -new "GM" logo radiator hoses w/tower clamps -new factory style "big ear" radiator cap -new battery -new 2.5” exhaust with Flowmaster, cross-flow type muffler Transmission: completely rebuilt TH400 with B&M 2,000 rpm stall converter & shift kit - will chirp the tires. Rearend: completely rebuilt with new limited slip differential, new 3.42 ratio ring & pinion, new bearings & seals. Brakes/suspension: new brake pads, calipers, rotors, brake hoses, master cylinder & booster, new brake cables, bearings & seals. New brake shoes, hardware & wheel cylinders. New ball joints, tie rods & bushings. Does have sub-frame connectors added and traction bars. I do have factory shock plates to replace the traction bars that will go with the car if the new owner chooses. Wheels/tires: new BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires (235/60R15 all the way around). Factory Z28 wheels were blasted & repainted the correct color. Center caps & trim rings are nice. Interior: new carpet, seat covers, headliner, sound deadener, package tray, dash pad, door panels, window cranks & rearview mirror. NOS sill plates. Paint/body: new base coat/clear coat metallic silver with black stripes. New lower, front spoiler. New outer, chrome door handles just purchased, but not yet installed. New “Camaro” and “Z28” emblems. All new weatherstripping. This car needs nothing to be enjoyed right now. Ready for summer car shows, drive-ins and cruising. Low reserve, priced to sell. You couldn’t buy a Z28 and restore it for this price! *Terms of sale, please read: This car is being sold as-is, where is. The sale is final. Please ask all questions before bidding. I will require a $1,000 deposit on the car 2 days after auction end, with the balance to be paid within 4 days of auction end. I will accept cash or PayPal for the deposit only. The remainder to be paid in cash, certified check or wire transfer only. The car will not leave my possession until all funds clear my bank. The following pictures really don't do the car justice. The paint sparkles in the sunlight; it's beautiful! On Jun-20-11 at 19:45:34 PDT, seller added the following information: *Note: the fist "picture" of the engine is actually a video. If you click on the arrow in the upper left corner, you can watch & hear the engine starting and running. On Jun-22-11 at 16:11:33 PDT, seller added the following information: A few things I forgot to mention, the steering box was rebuilt, there are new power steering hoses, new alternator, fuel pump, coil, battery cables and headlight bezels, as well as a rebuilt starter. Here is another picture of the trunk also, with the trunk mat removed:
