1985 Honda sabre

garage find!!!Up for bid is a 1985 v65 honda sabre .This bike was not running when i got it....it had set for years in a garage!!!the tank and bowls were drained when parked ..i put a battery and some clean fuel in it and she fired..This bike starts runs and after the carb lets loose it idles ..brakes work ..tires are dry rotted .it needs work to be ride able..clutch slave cylinder leaks ,i have it out right now purchased a new gasket.tank is dented on both sides looks like it was fall over dents like in the garage ,there is no scufs in the paint which would indicate an accident just dents..clutch lever is broke in half but will still work its just short.lol...like i said needs some work but its still a classic honda thats 1100 cc and would still give a run to any sport bike that would line up next to it(after its gone thru) . ..this is a reserve auction and i do have it listed locally for sale or trade ..my local price is 1400 it only has 12500 miles on it ..low miles,still a baby..im sure it needs more but its a classic honda crossover sportbike that will throw you off the back if you dont hold on..ive owned and sold a couple of these so i do know how they run and what they are worth...in the pics the battery side cover is off but i do have it .the speedo gauges are cracked also and the headlight assembly is hanging in pics but just needs bolted back on it works ive just been working on it .any questions ask i will answer to the best of my ability..bikes motor trans clutch and drive shaft are in good working order as far as i can tell..i have taken it down the road and it shifted thru all gears..it is a 6 spd.....i require a 200$non refundable deposit immediately after the auction to cover my costs of listing..bid to win and if you do win i require full payment within 3 days of auction end..i can hold the bike for up to 2 weeks after auction which should be plenty of time to make arrangements to come get it ...all zero bidders beware ,i will delete your bid if you dont contact me first..if you do not intend to go through if you win ,please do not bid .thanks to all in advance and happy bidding On May-14-11 at 16:47:38 PDT, seller added the following information:good news everyone i fixed the clutch slave its holding pressure with no leaks,i will be putting it all back together tonight cleaning it up and updating the pictures..i also have the radiator surrounding pieces all will be back together .so all you would really need to ride is a good going through and some tires. it is now a ride-able project bike!!! price just went up lol...On May-14-11 at 21:31:57 PDT, seller added the following information: ok headlight ,gauge cluster plastics and radiator covers are back on ,i live out of town so took it down the road,when the carb lets loose this bike pulls the front wheel off the ground,i believe if its run it will clean itself out .my reserve is set low but cannot change it without ending the listing.i have raised my local price to 2000,if i get tires im gonna just end the auction cause i kinda like it now..if you want the bike bid on it so the price can increase ..will not let go for my old reserve price anymore.front and rear brakes work now just bled them out today headlight hi \low works horn works .tach and speedo work although the plastic is cracked up exhaust sounds killer....
