Vehicle Detail
We are selling our 1973 Ranchero. We bought it to restore and have a lot of money in it, but we have 11 cars and need to move soon, so this one has to go. This is a very solid car. The body is straight except for a dent by the left rear tail light. It could be restored back to original or it would make a great race car. All the rust on the floors has been repaired. There is only one spot of rust around the passenger rear tail light. The bed holds water, so there is no holes in the bed, The rear window leaks and needs to be reset. The dash pad is not cracked, but it needs the piece around the instrument cluster. The car has been stored inside or under a tarp since we've owned it. The original 302 engine was blown so it was replaced with a 460 and a C6 tranny out of a 74 Linclon. The Lincoln the engine and tranny came out of was a low milage car, but I don't remember the exact milage. The engine ran last fall, but we haven't started it since we winterized it and it will need an exhaust system. The interior needs to be redone. We bought a new headliner and carpet for it, which comes with the car. The bench seat was removed and it has two racing seats. The car will need new wheels and tires. The ones on it are not drivers. This car is a great foundation for whatever you want it to be. It's too nice a car to part out and we'd like it to go to someone who has time for it. Shipping will be the responsiblity of the buyer or local pickup. This car is sold as a project car, not a daily driver. It needs a total restoration. I have tried to be as acurate as possible with my description and pictures, but feel free to ask questions. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time because the car is listed for sale locally. Thanks for looking. In the interests of full disclosure, I was washing the Ranchero today after taking it out of the cover and notice these two spots of rust on the passenger side wheelwell. Not a hard fix if you can do body work. Like I said above. The car needs full restoration.
