Vehicle Detail
Up for consideration is a gorgeous very well built 1964 Ford Falcon Futura. It was completely stripped down and fully restored in 2002. The paint is beautiful but is starting to show a few flaws. There are a couple bubbles starting to show up, however this is no rust bucket, very solid with no rust underneath. There is a imperfection on the front door edge of the drivers door as seen in the pictures and video. This Falcon is an above average driver. She runs and drives great and is a pure joy to drive. The mildly built 302 is equipped with a Ford Motorsport E303 cam with all roller components. Very radical sounding engine and runs absolutely perfect. Equipped with MSD ignition components including rev limiter, and computer controlled timing. Runs consistently cool between 180 & 190 even on a 98 degree day. Has a 7 quart oil pan. Only Vavoline full synthetic oil used and kept clean. The C4 automatic was just rebuilt with all the best components just two weeks ago with receipts. It's has a 2800 stall converter which works very well. The 9 inch posi rear with 3:00 gear ratio makes it a great interstate cruiser for those long trips if desired but still has plenty of punch! It feels really comfortable around 70 mph and extremely responsive if you want to push it further! The interior is very clean and comfortable. The dual exhaust is equipped with turbo mufflers that sound great. Also has electric header outlets should you want to bypass the mufflers, just push the button located on the dash. It has a front power disk brake conversion using Granada brake components. The booster and master cylinder is from a Geo because of the small space. It has large drum brakes on the rear. The brakes work fine but one draw back with this conversion is the pedal does not really respond until about halfway to the floor. I have all the paper work explaining this conversion including the topic of the feel of the pedal. Again it stops great and straight just takes a little getting use to, the pedal feel. The suspension is tight and rides smooth with sway bars front and rear. The rear is equipped with air shocks. Everything works on this car as it should, I can't think of anything it may need other than maybe personal touches by the new owner. The engine bay is extremely clean with no leaks. Has green neon lighting underneath car all the way around. The trunk is detailed very nice and clean. All weatherstripping still looks new. All glass is good and is tinted. If you like Falcons and a LOT of attention you'll want to consider this one because there is never a dull moment when out cruising! The pictures really don't do the car justice, it looks better in person! Please feel free to ask questions. It is available for inspection by appointment. It is sold as is with no warranties. A 300.00 nonrefundable deposit is due within 24 hours of auction end. I may be able to offer reasonable delivery on the east coast. Thanks for looking.
