I have a giant book of receipts dating back to 1992 with pictures. Receipt highlights: 1) Engine Rebuilt by Carlo Durante $14,890. 2) Tranny Rebuilt by Carlo Durante $6,297. 3) Repainted by Old Dominion $5972. 4) Belts/Tensioners/Tune $1280. 5) 4 New Tires (50ZR-16) PROXES $682. 6) 2 New MSD Ignition Unit and Carbs Rejetted $1395. 7) New Fuel Pump and Choke System $827. 8) Front and Rear Brakes $270. Here is a nicely restored GT4 (Driver's Jewel) which would fit in well in a collection. Placed 3rd in class, 2010 Concours D'Elegance (trophy included). It is fitted with an newer two-tone thick leather interior including headliner and dash. This is a driver's car. It does NOT have air or a radio. There is no rust anywhere. Aftermarket exhaust and custom steel cover (instead of that tin thing). All glass is good. All lights, horns and instruments work correctly (except odo). Choke works including BRIGHT amber light on dash so you won't forget and foul the plugs! Electric windows operate correctly. Sunroof opens and closes smoothly and does NOT leak. During repaint, antenna hole and washer holes covered and painted. Included owner's manual for 1975 GT4. Fitted with 16 inch Etoli (Ferrari Pattern) custom wheels and Proxy uni-directional radials (F 225/50ZR, R 245/45ZR). Original 14 inch Cromodora wheels and tires included (see photo). The belts and tensioners were changed about 500 miles ago (3 years ago). Engine and tranny rebuilt about 22,000 miles ago. All fuel lines and radiator hoses have been replaced. Has new K&N air filter. Important Info: The mechanical integrity of a Ferrari is of premier importance. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. The engine holds perfect oil pressure, does NOT smoke, and does NOT leak any oil. Runs Amsoil. Starts every time. Do to nice airflow, doesn't overheat even in 100 degree weather! The tranny shifts accurately and all syncros are good. Both engine and tranny were rebuilt to better than factory specs. Receipts for parts used are included. I welcome personal inspection and thorough test drive (cental Oregon). Forza Magazine says, "One of the best driver's cars ever to come from Maranello. Because of the 8" longer wheelbase, the GT4 is far better than the 308. Blows many 12-cylinder Ferraris into the weeds." _____________________________________________________________________________________ A couple of things to point out. The odo stopped working a couple years back. With the Oregon rainy weather and my aging knees, I have driven the car less than 100 miles since then only to local car shows. Receipts attest to this fact. Also, the engine cover does not lock. It hasn't locked since I bought the car. The weather stripping is mostly finished except the driver's door. The trunk has newer carpet. The sunroof interior doesn't have that little leather liner. I hardly notice as I only drive the car with the sunroof open. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Forza Magazine article included> "Do yourself a BIG favor: Drive a healthy GT4 and you will probably buy it. It is simple as that. For years, these little driver's jewels have been one of the Ferrari World's best kept secrets. Enzo Ferrari having an active role in the GT4's development. It was conceived under his initiative. GT4 bodies were built at Scaglietti, not Bertone. The GT4 is the best of the 308's, a driver's car in the extreme. Outstanding performance, ride and handling are all there. It's an exhilarating car to drive fast, yet absolutely docile in town." On Jun-03-11 at 19:16:35 PDT, seller added the following information: The terms for bidding are that way because I have sold other cars here on ebay, and each time a low feedback bidder (below 5) "won" the auction and didn't pay. Therefore, I had to relist. If you are a serious bidder with feedback less than 5, please find a friend on ebay to bid on your behalf. Thank you. I will be happy to answer any questions and feel free to visit for a comprehensive test drive. If you wish to drive the car home, I will meet you at the Eugene, OREGON airport for pick-up of your car. Thank you for your interest! On Jun-07-11 at 11:03:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Road & Track magazine was most impressed by the 308 GT4's blend of speed and civility when they tested an example in 1974. "Apart from the performance, which you take for granted in a Ferrari, and the aforementioned remarkable flexibility of the engine, perhaps the most outstanding feature of the Dino 308 is the excellent ride it provides. There is no low-speed harshness and at speed the road irregularities are beautifully smoothed out. The progress, compared to earlier Ferraris, is enormous."On Jun-07-11 at 13:20:43 PDT, seller added the following information: Good day, Chris, The entire interior (including headliner and dash) is furnished in thick leather. It stills smells brand new. Both door panels are beautiful with the perforated red to match the seats. The original black interior made it look like a cave inside. This new 2 color upolstery always awes at the car shows and receives a perfect 10 every time. The car was painted entirely from bare metal by Old Dominion in Eugene, Oregon (photo 24). The car was in the paint shop from August 2005 until completion on June 2nd, 2006 (almost 1 year!) and is beautiful. The car is kept covered in a warm garage and has no paint nicks or scratches. It has not need to be touched up, just waxed.
