Vehicle Detail

Let me start by saying, why drive a regular muscle car, when you can drive a TV and Movie Star?! About this car...This is a Rare and Documented REAL 1976 Starsky & Hutch Torino. Ford produced only about 1,000 of these in 1976 only, due to the huge popularity of the TV show. Only a small number of these are known to still exist. Most of these were ruined, due to the rough treatment many received back then.  This Starsky & Hutch Torino is in "Show-Quality" condition and is very documented, with the original build sheet, still under the rear seat, where you can clearly read Starsky & Hutch (see pictures), and the Marti-Report (see pictures). You can see by the report, this car was sold new in Minnesota, and bought from near there just 3 years ago, and has always been garaged. This Starsky & Hutch Torino also has the original door tag, with 2B paint-code and correct DSO code (0022) (see picture), and PS-22 cowl tag. The exterior is absolutely incredible, with one of the nicest paint jobs and straightest bodies you have ever seen, especially on a larger car like this (and NO little bubbles or rust spots). This car never had rust-thru and only had a few spots of surface rust on it. With all of its original body panels and sheet metal, an original body doesn't get much better than this. When new, this car was undercoated in the doors, inside quarter panels, and floor pans. In the pictures you can see the nice silver metal of the floors, where some of the undercoating is thinner. Also, I didn't want to repaint the inside trunk pan to show how nice the original metal is.  The interior is all original and really proves how well taken care of, this car was for all of those years. The interior is equally impressive. The seats, door-panels, dash and gauges are in absolutely beautiful condition. It also has the rare original bucket seats, floor console and shifter, that everybody wants and most Torino's don't have. All the lights, gauges (except clock, which works on and off), key buzzer, and everything electrical, works like new. I installed a modern CD-Stereo, with very nice speakers, for a great sound and a more enjoyable ride. I even found one stereo that actually matches the other knobs of the dash very well, for a very original type of look. Not to sound like a broken record, the car also really shines mechanically. This car really needs to be driven to appreciate how unbelievable a 1976 car can feel to drive! The engine, steering (just aligned), brakes, transmission, suspension, etc., all perform flawlessly. Solid and very tight, you feel like you are driving a newer luxury car. The dual exhaust (all welded) has a very nice rumble like a Starsky Torino should, but is not too loud. All 4 tires and wheels (just balanced) are brand new. I went with MUCH wider and taller rear tires to give it the Starsky look, without sacrificing the great suspension and ride it has. (See Marti-Report...This car also came with the handling suspension).  Okay, now that you know and can see how great this car looks and runs, here comes the fun part. Included with the car is the infamous removable roof police light (the good one, not the cheap plastic one) and loudspeaker (with 4 different sirens) already in the car and hooked up. I can tell you, you do NOT want to buy this car if you don't like a LOT of ATTENTION! You can't take this ANYWHERE at all, without an immense amount of attention and reponse. When I take this Torino to a car show, all the other cars around it (Lamborghinis, GTO's Mustangs, etc.) pretty much become invisible. People always just swarm around it and their jaws drop! I have actually felt bad for some of the other show car owners . (I ought to know, because I had my own 1967 GT500 next to the Starsky Torino and it was like the GT500 wasn't even there, compared to the tremendous amount of attention received by the this Torino). So, if you want to have more fun than you can even imagine, while owning a Real Documented collectible that is also a great investment, you have found it!   Good Luck and Thanks!  Sold, "As-Is,Where-Is". Serious Bidders Only, PLEASE!
