You are bidding on a 2001 VW Eurovan. I am the second owner of this van. At 5k miles, it had a timing chain break, and the owner traded it back in. I got the van after the repair. The timing chain failed again at 56,000 miles, and the engine was replaced by the local VW dealer (Congressional VW, Rockville MD). It turned out that the bushing on the oil drive was not in place, and the case wore leaving the timing chain loose. Then, there was transmission trouble, it was rebuilt, failed, and rebuilt again. Now, it has failed again and I give up! I just bought new springs for the rear, and Bilstein Heavy Duty shocks, and a new driver side tie rod. I was going to replace the transmission with a manual, but it never came, so I got a refund and am done with this car. The shocks and springs have not been put on, they cost me $700. I have the original engine that goes with the van. The sunroof leaks. I think it is a plugged drain. Everything else works fine. The engine runs well, the AC works fine.
