Real Jeeps are built! Not Bought! This is a great project!!!! It has a very nice body on it! The tub is in very good condition for a 1997 and the front fenders are solid, but they are bent. I think that this Jeep was not driven very much in the road salt. It has nice features. 4 cyl. engine,automatic transmission. Please read the description and look at the photos carefully. I have tried to capture all the good points and the bad points. Please look at the pictures on eBay and on Flickr. I even have uploaded a movie to Flickr of the Jeep running. This jeep will need to have the power steering repaired. I think that it will need a new power steering hose to correct the problem. It drives fine, it just requires effort to turn the wheel. EXTRAS: Aftermarket Tape Player! :) Frame: I inspected the frame for holes and cracks and it is in very good condition but there is surface rust as shown in the pictures. Please see the photos! Body and Paint: The body is in very good condition for a jeep in Western New York. There is mininmal rust on the front fenders as shown in the pictures. Please see the photos. Engine / Transmission / Axles: The Engine runs good and starts up easily. The major drive line components seem solid. I am not sure if it has had the engine, transfercase or axles replaced or rebuilt, but they all are in good working condition. It does seem to be leaking power steering fluid. The engine runs smooth without any issues. The 4wd works and the axles appear to be in 100% working order. The engine does not knock or appear to have any major mechanical issues. Exhaust system: The exhaust system may need to be replaced. It is noisey. A complete cat back system is $186 on eBay. Steering and Suspension: Power steering system has an issue. I believe that it is a leak in the power steering hose. The suspension feel great. No issues detected when I drive it. Brakes: The brakes work. I have not tested the e-brake. It is an automatic and I rarely use the ebrake in an automatic. Interior: The driver seat has a tear, but the passenger seat is nice, and the dashboard is in good condition. There are no carpets. I may have a back seat that I can sell for an additional fee. Payment: A $500 deposit within 24 hours of the close of the auction is required. I will only accept cash upon pickup for the vehicle.
