Vehicle Detail

1964 1/2 Mustang Coupe Resto-Mod 347 Stroker. Can't say enough about what my Son and I have put into this car. A great story of how we restored this American Classic. Bought this back in 2007, it was originally a V-8 Automatic that the owner used as a donor car for a 1965 fastback 6 cyl model. He took the entire driveline engine, trans, rear end, as well as the front end steering and brake components and swapped with the light duty 6 cyl versions. The destruction of an original classic will be your gain! Competently returned to a better than original V-8 drivetrain and components, A classic Mustang with a modern powertrain, this gets close to 20 MPG, with the modern AOD tranny and 5.0 engine, but the 5.0 is actually now a 5.7 Liter 347 Cu Inch Stroker Motor with Massive torque. I purchased an engine and transmission out of a 1992 GT Hi Performance 5.0 engine and Automatic Overdrive (AOD) Had my engine shop in Colorado Springs, Aces Engines, professional rebuild and Balance and turn this 230 HP factory motor to a screamer, Bored .030 over and stroker to a 347 Hi Perf. 400+HP Including the folowing engine Components: Eagle Stroker Crank Speed Pro 10 to 1 Forged Pistons Eagle Connecting rods Cam Dynamics Racing Cam Edelbrock (new) performer Carb 650 cfm Edelbrock manifold JBA Headers (stainless) HEI Solid State Ignition Flowmaster Exhaust and and new 2 1/2 Pipes front to back The Engine and exhaust work alone was over $8,000 The car was professionally garnet blasted to bare metal, Including the undercarriage and trunk, all rust was professionally dealt with cutting out any (minor cancer and welding in new sheet metal) The Bead Blasting and rust cutaway and new metal weld in was over $1,500 Old floor plans were removed and new floor pans were we installed and welded in place. New factory black carpeting and insulation was installed. $1,200 The front end components and brakes were completely replaced including the following: Upper and Lower control arms Upper and lower ball joints Tie Rod Ends Idler arm Front Disk Brakes New Master Cylinder This was a $1,200 Kit and $750 to Install The rear end was replaced with a ford 9 inch rearend out of a 1970 Mach 1 Mustang, awesome beast of a rear end. $400 rear end, $250 to install The entire electical system was removed and a painless harness was professionally installed as well as a retro-classic stereo, with a 250 watt amp and 4 custom speakers, rear deck and kick panel. Another $3,500 here for electrical and components including wiring, labor stereo amp and speakers New torque thrust wheels all the way around and BF Goodrich radial all the way around. $1,500 there New head liner, dash pad, carpet kit, new front and fear glass and seals. $800 New taillights, front and rear signals, door handles, gauges. much more including extra parts to complete restoration, taillight panel, door panels, door felts and weather stripping (some not all) ground up restoration 95% complete, Basically what is needed for this car to be 100% is Paint, weatherstrip installation (i have and will include the door window and quarter felts, door weatherstripping), connect the Speedo cable to the AOD Tranny, and the fuel sensor to the dash gauge. carpet the trunk and tail light panel installation (i am including the panel, from Cal Mustang) just need to install it. front and rear bumpers installed and then Head to the Car show and start collection the Trophies. SERIOUSLY this car gets complimented wherever she goes. and sounds mean as hell with the 347 cammed and the flowmasters, It's a Badass 64 1/2 Own a piece of Musclecar History I have approximately $20,000 invested and thats not including personal labor on the work that I have done. New Gas tank new, gauges, headliner install, seat belts engine compartment detailing, the list goes on and on. Must see and drive to appreciate. email: thedaveszone@yahoo.com or call 719-433-3266 for more information or to schedule an inspection or test drive.
