1998 Ford Explorer in Maryland Runs Good, Engine is solid and trans shifts well. Has minor body issues as you would expect with an older vehicle but no major damage. To the best of my knowledge these are the known issues: Although it is suppused to be an AWD it is actually only rear wheel drive because someone took out the front drive axel before I got it but it runs fine this way, probly burns less gas. The radio works but doesnt light up so you have to program your stations. The check engine light comes on. dont know why seems to run fine. The door locks dont always work well with key but it has electronic entry on the door and I know the code so you will get it. The key fob doesnt work you should be able to get a new one, I never found a need too. I have had it about 2 years and have never had a problem with it. I put a new battery about christmas time and I had the emergency brake tightened and the oil changed about 1 month ago. It has high miles but it starts right up and runs good, I havent used it too much because it is a 3rd car for me so I mostly use it when I need a truck for something. I have an extra tire and full size rim ( you need to have put on rim) goes with it and I have a new ball hitch I havnt put on but you can have it if you want to tow something. AC is cold/belt sqeaks at first if engine not warmed up then fine/ heat works. I have a clear title so you can get tags and drive it as soon as you get it, I dont see any problem if you are far away and need to drive it home. I cannot ship it you will have to pick up or have someone pick up for you. Prefer cash on pick up Reserve is 1000.00
