Dan 602-620-1295 Up for auction is a very nice 1971 ford F-350 flatbed Dually. This is a factory cab and chassis and (NOT) a converted pick up truck.This was purchased in California in 71-72 the dealer installed the flatbed and gooseneck hitch in middle of bed.The truck was in Oregon for many years before I found it here in Phoenix Az were I purchased it on its last leg. It had a worn out 360 and T18 4 speed I pulled it and built a 351 cleveland 2V That I had from a 72 Torino. It was a 40K mile engine we pulled it down and had the machine shop go through it and all it needed was freshened up. It did not need board out and the crank was perfect. So we used all the good stuff to rebuild.We used as follows. Crank Standard with a good polish,Michigan 77 race bearings,same with cam bearings,stock rods sized and cleaned,TRW race molly rings,Rhodes lifters and a comp 280 magnum cam,Also is gear driven (NO Timing chain to stretch) never need to adjust timing,brass freeze plugs,felpro gaskets and seals,melling hv/hp oil pump,Heads were checked and surfaced,3 angle valve job,poly stem seals,it has a edelbrock 4/V manifold for 2/V heads and a NOS 625 carter 4/V carb W/electric choke,GM billet HEI distributor,(Electronic 1 wire ignition) No points = no headaches,New HV water pump,Old school headman headers,Dual magnaflow mufflers,NEW chrome 100 amp GM 1 wire alternator,New SFI flexplate,new starter,belts,hoses. It has a desert radiator for a big block this thing in the dead of summer can Idle all day in gear and never get hot.C4 Automatic Transmission is out of the torino and gone totaly through with Transgo stage 2 clutches and stage 2 shift kit with 1 step over stock stall converter.also has external over sized trans cooler. I converted the truck to power steering and power brakes,NEW P/S box sat on shelf for a year befor I installed it and 2 weeks after I did the pitman seal started to leak I got ahold of the parts store and they said since I painted it they would not exchange it so it has a small leak.I also changed the steering column out to a shorter later model one so the wheel isnt in your chest while driving.The shifter is a new Lokar radical 32" floor shifter. I had Az differential go through the rear end it has NEW 373 gears in a dana 70 with all new seals and bearings. Truck has New Drums,wheel cyls,shoes,hardware,master cyl and booster.Stops on a dime and gives you 6 cents change.Has new cab lights front LED blue turn sigs,custom billet maltese cross LED tail lights. This is registered as a historical vehical in Arizona and it does not need to be smogged as it is a 1 ton and never had to be from factory.Cheap to register and insure. The BAD things about the truck! it needs a new fuel sending unit,it works just not accurate,horn not hooked up,I pulled the guage cluster apart and polished the bezel and painted the speedo needle purple and put purple bulbs in it now you cant tell how fast your going unless you real look hard,Needs seat redone and body work. Other then that its my daily driver I love the truck it gets 16-18 mpg and cruises the freeway all day long @ 80+ and turns heads everywhere I go. people cant believe this old truck runs this good and its very quik.Sounds like an old hot rod and not some old worn out beater.I would jump in this and not be afraid to drive cross country its that reliable PERIOD! Paint it and it should bring in well over $12.000 easy. Extra parts- I have the factory 351 c A/C compressor and mounts with idler pulley all you need is the rest and you can have ice cold A/C. Not that much money if you do the checking.I have a nice extra set of doors complete with hinges,glass,panels,latches,regulators, I also have a like new set of retro small dumbo ear stainless mirrors I have been saving for the new paint job,also have the factory wheels with 2 new tires and 4 retreads,2 spare newer steel wheels. Tires on the truck are about 60% up front and 40% in rear. So theres a total of 8 spare wheels and tires. Don't get me wrong If I could keep this truck I would, We had a death in the family and the same month had to take a trip cross country that wasn't planned. Now our finances have been put to the ultimate test. Now I have sold 18 cars and trucks on ebay none have been my personal rides till now and been fortunate enough not to have had any issues to date and don't want any now so be assured I will do my best to answer any and all questions you may have.I build and fix hotrods for a living and have a great client base.
