I am selling my 1978 thunderbird .this is a daily driver but its not driven everyday. ill try to get it all correct .its a 78 base option car . there is no rust other then a little spot of surface rust that you cannot see ,its under the door and its just surface rust the size of a pen tip.nothing rusted through . the car was rust proofed when it was bought new. the paint looks good outside but when your under the lights inside the garage you can see it its a 10 footer paint job. there is a scape but its hard to notice.its about 3 inches long and you cant even see it in the picture. the car is always under cover. this car is NOT a bondo bucket or a rust bucket . the former owner had the local vocational school paint it . i have taken this to cruises and it gets looks . I just dropped about 10 grand into my 79 t top car and thats my main show car so i drive my 78 as a driver. the motor is a very strong 351 windsor .the tranny shifts strong.YOU CAN DRIVE THIS CAR HOME. power steering and power brakes. it has a new gas tank and fuel filter . the carb has a little hesitation at times and may need rebuilt. it has good tires. the mechanicals of the car check out good , no leaks or drips. it has a/c but the clutch is locked up but i do have a good one that goes with the car. its had after market oil water gauges installed by previous owner. i havent done much to it other then drive it.carpet needs replaced. its a fun car . the T-Tops are FACTORY not some aftermarket dealer install . the seals are ok but i do get leakage in heavy rain you can use a little sillicone to build it up a little bit. the leak is by the window where the top meets the windsheild ,its a 32 year old car. they still make new seal kits . I have a car thats almost identical to this one and bought this one with the thought of recreating my lowrider i had in 1985 but after buying i realized im just not into lowriders any more. I am including a NOS front bumper and NOS grill surround.if you have any questions feel free to ask . im not giving it away .I am selling it to finish my wifes 72 mustang convertible. this is my last time if i dont sell it im going to put a set of welds on it and keep on driving it. i will not ship or anyother BS , you place money in my hand and i give you title .my reserve is $3000, IM OPEN FOR OFFERS but if you think ill sell it for 800 you are on CRACK or you must think i am .
