1948 Chrysler New Yorker Convertible with Matching Numbers. Year Make 1948 Chrysler Miles Engine 5950 Marked (Unknown) 323 ci Flathead Straight 8 Body Number Vin Number 554-2762 7065309 It is a 1948 Chrysler New Yorker Convertible with matching numbers. Has a 323 ci flathead straight eight engine with Fluid Drive 3 speed transmission. Has all heater parts but not installed and the speedometer is not currently working. Has dual spotlights and all original chrome. Runs and drives smooth as silk. The Power top has all of the frames but there is no canvas. The seats have recently been redone as has the paint, which is a magnificent red. Not sure about the first owner, but always garaged since 1978. The car turns heads everywhere it goes! The mileage is uncertain and not known but I am only the third owner and the second two have only driven the vehicle about 3,500 miles since 1978.
