Vehicle Detail
I bought this brand new 4-24-2009 from Engle's in K.C., Mo. as my retirement present. I paid cash and it has never had a lien. I've ridden it very little, and except for the bluing of the exhaust pipes, it looks brand new and runs perfect. This is a retro bike and has fuel injection hidden inside carb bodies so it looks like the iconic Bonnevilles. It has 68 H.P, 55 ft. lbs. of torque which means 0-60 mph in 5.5 seconds and a 1/4 mile time of 13 seconds. It weighs 420 pounds and gets 45 to 48 mpg even at highway speeds. It has a low fuel light, trip meter, turn signals and other expected features. I added a Triumph Roadster windshield which can easily be removed if desired, I added a polished stainless steel rear rack w/ sissy bar and leather backrest from John's Shed in New Zealand, so the rear rack/sissy bar and saddle bag supports will never rust and are incredibly strong. I added the polished stainless steel saddle bag supports also from John's Shed in New Zealand. I added leather saddle bags from Geoleather.com made specifically for the new Bonnevilles. I had Engle's add the power plug for GPS or charging'powering accessories. It has had the service performed by Engles @ the 500 mile, then again before it was needed when I was getting ready for a trip to Colorado. They recommend service @ 6000 mile intervals, but before my trip @ 3000 miles I had it done, and when this Winter was coming I had it done @ 5000 miles because I was having a new speedometer and tachometer replaced under warranty. The odometer quit working and the tach fluctuated when running steady so I had them replaced before the warranty ran out. While there I also had it serviced even though it had only done 2000 miles, and so it would be ready for Spring 2011. I also had a new rear tire put on it not realizing it had 2/3's of the tread left. I had a Metzler Z2 put on exactly like it came with. This bike has had around 85 miles since this was done (just rode it home) because 1-31-2011 I broke my Femur and can't ride or walk for a year. I really hate to sell it, but it and other treasures will have to go. I've never before ridden a bike that was as comfortable to ride or as stable as this one. Please feel free to ask any questions and I'll be glad to answer any questions or add pics. If you're particularly anxious you can call me @ 785-636-5371 or email me @ BanjoBob@Wamego.net I have $11,000 invested in this so here's your chance to pick up a bargain. This bike is in perfect condition, just serviced and has a new rear tire so it's good to go 6000 miles before needing an oil change or anything else, you can ride it home w/ no worries even if you live in Argentina or Anchorage.
