Get ready for summer with this 1996 Mazda MX-5 Miata M-Edition 2-door convertible. Rare Miata removable hard top included. Car recently passed New Jersey state inspection/emission test and received a sticker valid until May 2013. I am the second owner of this car and purchased it as certified used from a local Mazda dealer in 1999 (it had one prior owner who turned the vehicle in at the end of its lease). I have owned this car for the past 12 years, and am only selling it due to the growing size of my family. Non-smoking driver. The 1996 M-Editions were limited productions, with only 2,968 produced. Exterior color is Starlight Blue Mica with tan leather interior, tan boot, and tan soft top. The pictures included with this listing illustrate views with the hard top on, the soft top on, and the top down. It has been a very reliable car over the years and continues to run well today. This car is great fun to drive, and a breeze to park. All lights and signals are working. With age and use over the past 15 years, there are some minor imperfections present that do not impact performance. These include some light scratches on the trunk, a scratch above the windshield on the driver's side, some minor rust underneath the doors, and some paint fading around the bumper (these are illustrated in the photos included with this listing). The antenna does not automatically descend as the radio is turned off, the audio system door mounted tweeters are missing their covers, and there is a crack in the still-functional Scan button on the audio system. I consider these issues to be normal wear and tear consistent with the age of the car. Opening bid price is below both Kelley Blue Book and N.A.D.A. retail prices.
