This is a sharp 2001 Chevrolet S-10 regular cab pick up with the "Gas Saver" 2.2L 4-Cyl. engine that sounds great and will have many more miles ahead of it. The tranny is a manual 5-speed 2wd. with a good smooth clutch and that combination will offer good gas mileage.
The truck was totaled out by the previous owners insurance company and will be an easy repairable. The insurance company was Country Mutual and they quoted the truck value at $5500. before the damage.
There are indications that the damage may have been caused from hitting a deer and will need a left 3/4 front end (minus the bumper assembly) and repair driver door edge to be roadworthy. The truck will drive to test but will need to be trailered or tow dolly home because of damage to cooling. There is no frame damage because the damage was high and went over the front bumper. The pictures will show both front frame horns not damaged plus windshield and air bags are good making this a basic parts replacer. Power steering fluid is leaking either from a hose or the plastic canister which is common with front end damage I have noticed. These patrs are very available because of the vast amount of interchange between S-10 Blazer, GMC Sonoma, Jimmies and Olds Bravada sheet metal and 10 years between all models. The best case would be the buyer who has a donnor S-10 or Sonoma from 1994 up?
The overall truck is in great shape for the age other than normal wear & tear. The truck came from a good home and was not abused and shows no sign of having a trailer hitch installed and will make a neat little truck for a daily driver or for re-sale because these are very popular and not getting any cheaper to buy retail.
The interior is in good condition and very comfortable with the "LS" interior package (ZQ3) that offers tilt wheel, cruise control and am/fm cd-player. The truck looks to have been owned by a non-smoker and will satisfy whoever buys!
