Thank you for viewing my auction for this very nice classic airhead that is mechanically excellent, and cosmetically very nice but not perfect. There are age related scratches and a few minor dents shown in the photos. The previous owner passed and the bike has been in dry heated storage since 1994. Here are a number of pictures in order to show as accurately as possible the exact condition of the bike. The bike has period Krauser bags and rack. Since removing from storage just recently a comprehensive service was performed which included oil pan, valve cover, and filter, gaskets, all fluids, including the forks? New oil, air, and fuel filters, as well as fuel lines were installed. New grips and a complete tune–up was performed, with rebuilt carburetors, new plugs, wires, and caps, points, condenser. New fork seals and fork gaiters were installed. The tire pump is in it's stowed spot, but there is not tool kit or tool tray. Tires are in excellent shape, bike was stored on stands and tires deflated, no visible cracks and hold air fine. Rear splines were cleaned and lubed, and as seen in the photos are in like new condition. There are no mechanical issues and the bike runs and handles like it is supposed to and has no leaks. The gas tank is clean and rust free. A Very nice looking and riding BMW Slash 7 reasonable miles. The bike has a new AGM sealed battery. On May-06-11 at 20:12:27 PDT, seller added the following information: The steering stop, located at the forward base of the head tube, is functional, but it is broken. There would normally be a bolt and a nut passing through the steel steering stop block. In this case, the forward half of the block is cracked off where the bolt would pass through.
