Vehicle Detail

1952 MG - TD - - Restored Arizona Car! - Here is an exceptional, 1952 MG-TD Series II Roadster that was recently purchased from the estate of the previous owner who had owned it for the last 41+ years! It is one of approx. 7,449 MG-TDs built for and sold in the US market during 1952. It was purchased new and has spent it's entire life in the sunny and dry state of Arizona where it still remains! The past owner was founder of Capell Carnivals which was a well known and prosperous carnival business in the southwest for many years. Approximately 20 years ago, he had the car restored and while he didn't use it much, he still maintained and regularly serviced it and kept it in great running condition! We were told by the owner's son, and he was adamant, that the 5,768 miles showing on the odometer are actual miles on the car, although I can't confirm or document that. Equipped with the following options:: -76.3 CID Overhead-Valve 54 HP 4Cyl Engine -Twin SU Carburetors -4-Spd Manual Transmission -Disc Wheels -Badge Bar -Fog Driving Lights -Accessory Outside Mirrors -Simulated Marble Steering Wheel Odometer Reading: 5,768 (undocumented) VIN Number: TD14093 As you can see in my photos, this is an impressive looking Classic MG! It is finished in the distinctive and original, Ivory color with Green interior and it looks great! The body appears to be 100% rust free and is really as rock solid as you would expect an Arizona car to be! The paint is 20+ years old and still looks like it was done recently due to it's minimal use and excellent sorage! It was a quality paint job that has been sanded and buffed to a high luster! The body is actually in very nice condition and there are no signs of any prior accident history. The body appears to have all of its original sheet metal and other than a slight wave in one hood side, the body and sheet metal is otherwise straight as an arrow! The underside is an older restoration and still looks very nice and appears to be rock solid! The rear bumper has a small dent but otherwise, the chrome is still in very nice to excellent condition. The interior is very complete and in exceptional condition! It still sports it's original style Green leather seat covers with only minimal wear. The gauges are clean and bright and the dash is in great shape. All the gauges seem to work as they should. The wipers, horn and exterior lighting all work as they should. The convertible top is decent with a small tear on the right front corner and some slight fading from age. Included in the area behind the seat is the original crank and a nicely restored set of side curtains. Even though it has been in storage quite a bit in recent years, it has been religiously maintained and kept in fine running condition. The engine runs smooth and quiet and it drives very well! The transmission shifts as it should and the clutch feels strong. The brakes work great and have recently been replaced and rebuilt. The exhaust is quiet and while the tires have virtually no wear, they are exhibiting some age cracks. I believe that it is basically a sound car mechanically and that it was not parked for any mechanical reason, but rather due to health issues and a lack of time on the prior owner's part. The car definitely can be driven and enjoyed just as it is and it is FUN to drive! The MG-TD is truly one of the most iconic and recognizable of all the 50's sports cars of the period and there are few cars that compare! These are some of the fastest appreciating and most sought after collector cars in the market today and this is a beautiful example of a classic English sports car! Has desirable options and is rust free! Great colors and ready for summertime cruising! Offered with a low reserve for a quick sale! Please email or call with any questions and I can help with shipping quotes and arrangements. I welcome International bidders! Good Luck in the bidding!
