HERE IT IS! The Fiero you've been waiting for. A silver, 1988 GT 5-speed. With all the IMPORTANT STUFF you want on YOUR Fiero--Vista Vent (sun roof) w/ sun blocker panel and bag, OEM GOLD wheels, (When was the last time you saw a silver Fiero with GOLD WHEELS?) OEM silver leather seats, steering wheel hard as a rock, excellent tires, like-new gear-shift handle and like-new console. Plus all the minor stuff—power windows, rear window defogger, electric trunk release, power door locks, electric exterior mirrors, tilt, tint, cruise, THIS IS THE CAR YOU WANT but thot you'd never find. Aren'tcha glad you waited? If you are a dyed-in-the-wool Fiero person, you already know why you want this car. If you have only heard of the Fiero, you'll find that just about everyone agrees that the '88, with its new suspension, is the best! It has big 7”-wide wheels in the back and narrower 6”-wide wheel in front, just like a race car. And, while it is NOT a race car, it almost feels like one when you get in and buckle up. You don't slide around as in many other bucket-seat cars. YOU ARE HELD TIGHTLY so you can concentrate on DRIVING! The seat grabs you and almost makes you PART OF THE CAR! Frankly, if you've never experienced it, it's very hard to describe but once you drive the '88 and if you a real sport's car nut as many Fiero owner's are, you'll LOVE it!! Now for the not-so nice. There is a small wear area on the driver's seat left bolster, as have most Fieros. The console glovebox door is beginning to warp from the Texas heat. If caught soon, can be straightened pretty easily, I've been told. While it has the '87-type, push-button-only radio, it stopped working a few weeks ago. Will not find a station. The AC works and cools and if you drive it a while, cools pretty well, but like many cars rarely driven, needs a charge. It has been converted to 134A. Both rear plastic side windows are cracked, however, I have a brand new aftermarket for the driver's side. And a brand new OEM for the passenger side. However, this one is in Omaha and can't be here until near the end of June. But they are both also included in the sale. And the rear body sail panels are cracked. (See pix.) Don't know why nor how but they were cracked when I got the car and have not been repaired. A competent fiberglas guy could fix 'em in a jiffy, I've been told. These are non-load carrying panels. So because of the space-frame design, these problem areas do not affect driving the car. I would not be afraid to drive this car anywhere (on roads! This is NOT an off-road kinda car—too low to the ground.) I bought this car on eBAY a few years ago and drove it to San Antonio. Got over 30 mpg all the way, at speeds up to 80 mph (Don't tell the cops!) This car just BEGS to be driven. And YOU should be the one driving it!! So HERE is your car. If you don't win it, you'll hate yourself! I have tried to be as truthful as I would want someone ELSE to be, if I WERE BUYING THE CAR. Therefore, anything inadvertently missed in the description will NOT be cause for cancellation of the sale. This auction is to BUY the car, not come see it. This is not to put a hardship on anyone but, bluntly, if you can't do as I ask PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THE CAR. I will not accept a cashier's check on a Nigerian bank nor 7-11/WalMart money order for thousands more than the price of the car and refund the balance to your friend. NOR any of the other zillion scams making the rounds. So if that is your idea, I'm wise to you-- forget it! While I will not be responsible for shipment, I will assist in any way I can if you want the car transported AFTER I RECEIVE FULL PAYMENT IN CASH OR USPS MONEY ORDER.
