Vehicle Detail
I am reluctantly selling my 73 340 4 speed suregrip Space Duster.Rare to have her original fender tag, door sticker, emissions label, owners manual and build sheet.Has crayon written 12 on the rad.support from the assembly line,to match the 12 on the emission label, which means 340/4 speed. It has its numbers matching engine and 321 suregrip rear. The 4 speed box itself is not original to the car.I spent many months searching for a close build 73 box.I found a perfect low mileage a833 4 speed from a wrecked 73 340 duster. It was built only months earlier than my car.The cars vin reads 3B605630,the trans vin reads 3B259954.This is either the last 340 duster ever built or at least one of the very last. Its order date was 8/02/73.Its build date was 8/09/73.A friend has a 74 charger that was built 8/21/73.It is a space duster with the fold down seat option.Has factory power disc brakes and power steering.Came with the rubber floor mat instead of rug.The engine was reportedly rebuilt a few years back.I have no proof.I pulled the intake to take a look. The engine inside is immaculate has a purple camshaft, new valve springs etc.and appears to have been at least rebuilt heads/cam up.It runs well, has a lumpy idle.Ive only driven her in and out of the garage. No exhaust after the manifolds.Original hangers are there.I spent forever looking for numbers matching 340 exhaust manifolds. They are on it now and are probably closer dated to the engine than the originals were.Dated 7/13/73.Only a few weeks prior to the car build. She needs body work and paint. All glass appears original and is good.Winshield has a bb star.Sadly, under that rattlecan primer(Ive removed some on each panel as seen in photos) is its original factory paint that is still shiny.Original 340 white stripes still wrapped around the door edges. So,really its never been repainted. All panels are factory except the trunk lid has been replaced. She needs drivers lower quarter patch, front floor pans, right side small frame box repaired/replaced from water damage from the floor above it.I have the perfect replacement section thats included. The rear frame rails are perfect. The trunk has no rust.Front lower fenders reqiure small repair.Has new battery tray.Has a performance ignition system and distributor. This car needs a total restore, but is a super rare 73 340 4 speed thats one of the very last 340 dusters ever made and is running. As its optioned Id bet its the last one.Clear NJ title in hand that states actual mileage of 87,218.Please no nonsense.I will not waste your time, please dont waste mine.Only bid if you are able to pay. Thank you. Available for seperate purchase:2 fenders, original mopar 340 hood scoop, original air flapper air cleaner assembly, rug for dressup space duster only trunk.Factory 340 intake manifold, original exhaust tips(not great)Full uncut dash with perfect cluster, radio, temp controls, and and extra cluster.complete dome light assembly.Fresh air drivers side box.2 nice kick panels. All this is available for purchase to the winning bidder first.
