Up for sale is a 2000 AUDI A8L FULLY LOADED. Vehicle is sold "AS-IS" I bought this vehicle at an auction. I was going to export the vehicle and fix it. The vehicle was purchased via a licensed dealer, and proper transfer will be made to the new owner. I did not know about the condition of the transmission, so when I got it, I found out about the trany. I was going to keep it and fix it, but personal money issues are forcing me to sell this car. I still believe this is a great deal, but you decide....... Bought car to get it repaired and keep, but cannot as I need the money because of an emergency......... The car has an AZ Salvage Title, in hand. Car can be used as parts or can be registered in the state of CA, or any state for that matter. All that is needed is a DMV verification, smog and brake & light inspection. Title is in hand, and proper documents for ownership transfer. Now, on to the description.. ISSUES: The car has a bad transmission, driver side front and rear windows are cracked (windows have double window, and do not fall apart, they are still in the car and go up and down) sunroof is damaged (broken), and the leather on the seats part (front) are cracked....I was planning to change the transmission fluid and see if that is the case, but never got to it. There is a 50-50 chance the transmission will work with the fluid replacement. The transmission slips, so who knows..........it could be as easy as a fluid change!!!!!!!!!!!! But, since I do not know that, I will just state that the transmission is BAD. I also say that, because in one of the pictures, you can see 2 hoses leaking on the front of the car, which I believe is the cooling line, it appears to look like transmission fluid, so it "could" be low. But, once again, do NOT take my word for it. Today I lowered the rear passenger's side and the window did not roll up. Also, the passenger's side windows does not go up or down. You can hear on both windows the mechanism work but they wont go up or down. A/C appears to kick in, but there is no air coming out of the vents. There is water from under the carpet, this is a very common thing with these vehicles, as the drain get clogged and need to be unclogged from inside the car, which is very easy to do. Door panels are a little loose, but I believe that is due to a missing screw here and there. Since the windows don't roll , the previous owner must have tried to fix them and did not pt al screws in. (That is what I believe happened), there is also a small molding missing on the bottom part of the corner of the fender next to the door. Also, the passengers side seat does not appear to be in the same condition as the drivers side, but the leather on the bottom part is very dry and could crack easily, or, maybe not as I have not taken a seat there....so treat it as such.....alo on the pictures, you will notice on the roof that there is tape residue, this is easily cleaned, as it was covered with plastic because of the cracked sunroof. There are a few very small dings all around, although very minimal, they are there. You can also see the paint on the hood and the bumper a little hazed. I believe that can be easily buffered out with some kind of paint polishing materials. Remember that is IS a used car, so tear and wear is part of the equation. The CAR WAS NOT IN AN ACCIDENT. There is no damage (MAJOR), but the insurance salvaged it because of an insurance claim on the damaged parts. THE GOOD: Car has ALL BODY PARTS INTACT. Interior is also in good condition except for the seats as I mentioned, and the observations I made. All Air bags are OK (Car has about 8 or so), back seat is ok, all interior parts are ok,. Engine has only 95K miles!!!!!, comes with 18" pie plates and 70-80 remaining tread michelin tires, XENON headlights (In perfect working order), BUMPERS ARE INTACT (Parking asst.), Has a factory OEM GPS Navigation System, tail lights are ok, all exterior trims are ok, everything under the hood is ok, NO PARTS HAVE BEEN REMOVED, battery works and car starts just by turning the key. I Cannot fix it as personal issues come first, and need the money. Interior is Black, and exterior black as well. This thing is FULLY LOADED, I actually drove the car on the freeway as it is right now, and it handled like a million bucks. I will also include a transmission filter, and gasket as I was going to replace the fluid but that came to a hold. (40.00 value) Price is FIRM. I do not want to make money on it, just want to get what I paid as I need the money due to personal issues. I do not have pictures at this moment as I have the car in a friend's yard and will probably be there no later than Wednesday and take some pictures, so I will upload them ASAP. You are also welcomed to see the car if you are interested. Car is located in the Otay Mesa CA. area. Car needs to be picked up. I cannot deliver. If you part it out...this is what parts go for $1500-$2000 Engine $400 ea. Bumper $400 ea. Headlight $500-$1000 18" pie plates $400 Hood $150 ea. Fender $100 ea. Fog Light $50+ ea. Mirror Tail Lights $$?? etc etc.... ....just to name a few.... Engine alone is worth the starting price. I don't have time, and tools to part it out and sell it myself, as I need to take it out from where the car is located right now. The car is at a friends yard, and I need to take it out and don't have where to put it, otherwise I'd do it, as I know I can get at least twice as more if I part it out, plus it could take more time to sell in parts then the whole car together. Or an easy fix and you have an 8000K vehicle for a nice price. I will not ship the car, shipping is responsibility of the purchaser, will not deal overseas. I have tried to describe the vehicle as best as I can, so please ask any question before. Car is being sold as-is, for repair or for parts, that is the buyers decision.
