General Description: The auction is for the Jeep only! No doors or top! Those parts are sold separately. Please bid accordingly. The doors will be an additional $699.99 and the top will be $299.99. Please understand that this is a used Jeep and it will be a fun project, or car to drive around town or great for a 2nd car. If you drive a long distance for work, or intend to go on road trips, this is probably not what you are looking for. It has nice features. 4 cyl. engine, automatic transmission. Please read the description and look at the photos carefully. I have tried to capture all the good points and the bad points. Please look at the pictures on eBay and on Flickr. I even have uploaded a movie to Flickr of the Jeep running. This jeep was driven daily! It is 100% road ready. It recently passed a full New York safety inspection. It is a great project jeep because it is solid and has low mileage. It really just needs a set of front fenders! Please also note that I will not be including the trailer hitch on the Jeep. I would like to remove it for use on my Jeep. Frame: I inspected the frame for holes and cracks and it appears solid but there is surface rust as shown in the pictures. Body and Paint: The body is solid but there is heavy rust on the front fenders as shown in the pictures. Please see the photos. (The Floor are all solid. Please see the pictures showing under the driver side mat. No holes! it appears to have been patched) The rear floors are really good. Engine / Transmission / Axles: The Engine runs very good and starts up and runs excellent. It does not smoke or make any unusual noise or leak any fluids. The engine runs smooth and the transmission shifts smooth without any issues. The 4wd works and the axles appear to be in 100% working order. The engine does not knock or appear to have any major mechanical issues. Exhaust system: The exhaust system is in good working condition. Steering and Suspension: Steering and suspension feel great. No issues detected when I drive it. The sway bar links need to be replaced. Brakes: The brakes are in good working condition. The e-brake works! Interior: The seats, and dashboard are in good condition. The carpets are in ok condition with minor stains and discoloration. Other Items Available. I do have a Best Top hard top for sale that I will sell separately for $1499.99. It has a defroster. I will not negotiate the price of the Top, because I can use it for my other Jeep. It was over $2500 new but I don't drive my jeep in the winter, so I can use just my soft top. Payment: A $500 deposit within 24 hours of the close of the auction is required. I look at Jeeps logically, not emotionally. I review them for their typical problems. (Frame damage, severe rust, engine knocks, bad transmissions, transfer cases) "The big stuff". I have a 4 year engineering degree, so I have some formal education and I also like to fix things, so I have some hands on experience too. I usually buy low priced "projects" and offer them for sale online. I provide a service for people who want to sell a Jeep that may need work, and find a buyer who understands that the Jeep needs work.
