Vehicle Detail

NO RESERVE AUCTION!! 1981 Porsche 911SC Targa Hellblau Metallic, H6 (flat 6) cylinder air/oil cooled engine, 5-speed manual gearbox, whale tail, with only 93,277 original miles on it. This is a very nice 911 that has had all of the best possible engine upgrades put into it in 2010. I have receipts for confirmation of all of this work as well. I also have available photos of the engine removal and rebuild. - complete engine removal and overhaul that began in 2009 and was completed in 2010, this included total disassembly of the engine and the following list of upgrades: Goetze rings, all new bearings, ARP rod bolts and head studs, polished heads, all new bearings throughout the engine, new timing chains with Carrera tensioner upgrade, new valves, valve guides and valve springs from EBS Racing, upgraded to 964 camshafts by Dougherty Racing Cams, MSD Digital 6 fully adjustable electronic ignition, Magnecor plug wires, new plugs, cap, rotor, upgraded valve covers, rebuilt warm up regulator, all new sensors, pop off valve, K&N air filter, flywheel was turned and brand new clutch assembly including pressure plate and clutch cable, throughout bearing, return spring etc., new fuel pump, fuel filter, new shift coupler bushings and shifter bushing, new O2 sensor, DynaMax muffler with stainless cat bypass pipe that makes this engine sound like no other. While the engine was apart all of the aluminum parts such as the housing, valve covers, timing chain housings, cooling fan etc. were glass beaded and all of the painted parts were glass beaded and properly painted with VHT high temperature paint. I have the new front hood shocks but never put them on. The headlights have been upgraded to H4 beams with the headlight relay so they work great. The alternator was completely rebuilt and the battery is 1 month old. The 915 gearbox shifts fine and I have put SWEPCO fluid in it. I have a custom car cover for it that is only 1 year old as well. Alpine stereo with CD player, brand new Toyo Proxes front tires and the rear tires are Pirelli Super Sports that are in good condition. The interior was the only thing I never did anything to and it is in good condition for a car that is 30 years old. There are no cracks in the dash board the front seats have been previously recovered. the carpet is good. The sun visors are there but will need replacing. The Targa top is completely operable and I have used it without any issues but if you want a show car it will need some minor work done to it. The original tool bag is missing but I have a new tool for replacing the alternator belt. I do have the original owners book and an extra key. The exterior is in very nice condition with the exception of some minor scratches in the paint. This car has been repainted by the previous owner that I bought the car from it is Hellblau Metallic (Blue Metallic) and is a good paint job...not a great paint job but good as you can see in the pictures. I tried to get some pics of the few scratches but they did not show up very good at all. The previous owner installed the whale tail and removed the original 911SC badge and replaced it with a Carrera badge, I do have the original SC badge. The overall exterior condition I would rate at an 8 or so for this car. It is not a show car that has to be trailered everytime it leaves my garage. It was meant and built to be driven! You will not find an all around nicer, more reliable and better sounding 911 driver than this one. If you want a car that you will not have to work on this is it. This engine was rebuilt by the best engine builder in the Mid West (AMT Racing Engines) and was done right! It sounds and runs like no other. It was broke in with Joe Gibbs break in oil and now has Brad Penn oil in it. This engine has very very low miles (under 1900) and runs better than new. It was built to drive whenever I chose without the worry of breaking down. I wanted all of the best parts put into this engine for the makings of a bullet proof engine that I could drive any distance anytime. It has no engine leaks at all. As you can see, I have put a ton a money and time into this car to make it what it is, unfortunatley it is time to sell. Feel free to ask any questions and I am not a dealer! Good luck and thank you for looking.
