Selling my beautiful, black on taupe, 560SL roadster. Touted as the most collectable roadster by Star Magazine. It is finished in 040, black on taupe. How many black 560SL's have you seen. Most are red or smoke silver(champagne), not this one. Finished in stunning black, 040 and wearing it's original paint is my 560SL. I bought this for my honey. Imagine my embarassment when she informed me that she wanted a newer, read 2011 SL. Not some relic from Mercedes history. My 500E is frowning in the garage as we speak. This gem was garage kept and adult owned. It was service by Mercedes Benz of Oakland, CA. Not a Mercedes tech but a Mercedes dealer. It runs great and will be a great addition to someone's garage. I would like to keep her but my honey is eyeballing my Porsche's and I am torn with this decision. Everything works. The A/C blows lukewarm. It will need a recharge, the interior is driver quaility, the driver's side bolster is worn(see photo and video). However, it has the books and manuals, two keys and the spare looks like it has NEVER seen the ground. The soft top is worn and will need a replacement if the new owner wants. It is a convertible and I would drive this gem, top down. Take the hardtop off and store it in the garage. Who needs a soft top? All the bows are intact. The dash is cracked(all 107 have cracked dashes). Get a dash cap if this bothers you. The windows roll up and down with ease. It is just a joy to drive. For every RED 560SL there is, there are even fewer black ones. The paint gleams. The paint is not clear coat challenged. I would not hesitate to drive this gem to infinity and beyond. I am selling this roadster at NO RESERVE. Light tap in the rear in 2003, no damage, however, police came out and took accident report. Vehicle is advertised locally and seller reserves right to end auction and cancel all bids if sold outside of ebay. However, a few rules. First, NO PAYPAL.
