Vehicle Detail

SquareTrade © AP6.0 1987 Honda Super Magna Motorcycle VF700C This is the third Honda Super Magna motorcycle I've owned. I originally bought this one to turn into my one and only final project bike, but never got around to it and I'm just too busy now-a-days. This bike has been well taken care of and is in good condition, even though it's 20+ years old. This is the 4 cylinder, 4 carburator, quad exhaust, shaft driven, water-cooled VF700C that was only made for two years - 1987 & 1988. It's got 18,XXX miles and was originally a military training bike for Travis Air Force Base / Department of Defense and was maintenanced very regularly. There are no leaks, the body is straight and from the looks of the bike, it's never been laid down. (no scuff marks on the exhaust, pegs, etc) It does have highway pegs installed on the chrome engine guard, the original rock guard (the fiberglass engine guard at the bottom of the motor that's usually missing on these) and comes with a passenger seat. The rear tire was just replaced about 1000 miles ago and the front tire is ok, but not as good as the back tire. The seats have been re-upholstered and to be honest, they didn't do a good job on the passenger seat, as you can see little foam bumps! (see pictures) Since it is a used bike, I won't imply that it is in perfect condition. So just to be safe I'll mention the things I don't care for and if I was keeping it, I'd have fixed. It's popular with these bikes to cut the baffles out of the exhaust to give it a toned-down Harley sound, and this one is no exception (see pictures) I only noticed this because I owned two other Super Magna's but sometimes, it's a little hard to get in gear once or twice a month (kind of depends on the temperature outside) and the Honda dealer here said that the Clutch Master Cylinder probably could use new gaskets or even a rebuild kit (the master cylinder is the small chrome colored box on the left handlebar that pushes clutch fluid into the clutch to engage/disengage it) It was about $160 to have done and since it isn't very noticeable and doesn't happen all the time, I never got it done. So, that's it! Otherwise, it's a great bike and given it's condition, it is a perfect bike to restore for the shows or just to go have fun on. I'm including one of the large Clymer repair manuals for this exact bike and the title is in hand free and clear. Reserve isn't high at all compared to what I've seen these go for here on ebay. Bike needs to be picked up / transported / shipped within a week of the auction ending. Transportation is the responsibility of the buyer and a $500 deposit is due by Paypal within 48 hours after the auction ends and if you're picking up in person, the balance can be paid in cash. Cash or Paypal only, no checks, no trades, please don't ask. I'm a fair person and I am intending and expecting a win-win sale for both of us here. If you have any questions, send me an ebay message and if you need to talk to me in person, let me know and I'll send over my phone number. Good luck!
