1987 Camaro IROC-Z 5.7 TPI Up for auction is this well kept IROC-Z with the Package 3 Z-28 option, VIN # 1G1FP2182HN169742 (it is a true “8” code Camaro). This is an original matching numbers 350c.i. car, this in addition to some very rare options make this car an instant collectible (see list below). This car is in very good condition inside and out. The body and undercarriage are both rust free and in amazing shape, while a new England car all of it’s life it has never seen snow or rain, looking at the underneath you’d think this car came from the deserts of Arizona! The car is equipped with some extreamly rare options including the self dimming mirror, overhead console and of course it's a true 5.7 IROC This car is a product of years of pride in ownership. The car runs and drives great, idles smoothly and shifts through all gears with seamlessly. The most important thing is that the car is all original, there have been no modifications and everything is intact...including the TPI. Everything is in 100% working order, including the rear power hatch! -Exterior- All the glass is nice and clear with no scratches or hazing. The tires are brand new and have almost 100% of the tread remaining and there is absolutely no curbrash on the wheels. The underbody is as clean as the body, there is no rust anywhere on the undercarriage!. -Interior- The original interior is in fair shape, the carpet and headliner and door panels are all in good condition and the dash is like new. The only blemish on the interior is a small hole on the driver’s seat (pictured), otherwise there are absolutely no rips, tears or excessive wear, however the interior could benefit from a good shampooing. The A/C works, but will require a recharge in the future as it is could be blowing a little colder and the radio will need to be reconnected. -Engine & Transmission- The car has been well maintained and it shows! The engine idles and runs very well, pulls hard through all gears. Many times these cars have been hacked up with various go fast goodies added, that is not the case here, there have been absolutely no modifications done to this car...it is exactly the way it left the factory in 1987. I do not see any indication of the car ever being in an accident or having suffered damage of any kind, however there is one very small scratch in the front left fender(pictured). The paint is original, the only flaw is (as with many late 80’s Chevys) the clear coat has seen better days needs to be reapplied. As previously mentioned there is absolutely no rust on the body or anywhere else for that matter! The only thing non original is the new exhaust which was upgraded for a more throaty sound.
