1972 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Car started out as an Arizona Car. I enjoyed this car for approx. 5 years before deciding to restore it. There is NO rust on this car. The body has never been separated from floor pan, this car was in excellant condition before restoring. It was completely sanded down and blocked several times prior to being painted. The paint is a base coat clear coat and was baked in an oven. The car is straight as an arrow, the bumpers were straightened and rechromed, the trim peices are either new or they were repolished. the headliner is white with NO tears or rips, black seats, the seats were refabricated in order to give it a low backseat , the seats still accept standard 1972 seat covers (just eliminated the headrest) .Interior is in great condition. Chrome mangel rims 145 tire in front and 165 in rear on 15 inch wheels. Brand new chrome mangel 145 tire spare. The front of the car is lowered 3 inches with drop spindles, the car comes with the original spindles for stock appearance also comes with 2 additional wheels and tires that match the rear. Every nut and bolt that was taken off the car got a new one put back in its place. The car can be easily made back to original condition, No body work has been modified. The motor is a 2276 stroked motor, free flow block, additional 3 quart oil sump and K&N exterior mount oil filter, 9.25 to 1 compression, I beam connecting rods, 82 mm 4340 crank shaft, 94 x 82 pistons, rocker shaft kit, stainless steel push rod tubes, teflon piston buttons, kennedy stage one pressure plate, light weight custom length push rods, 042 heads, case has been clearanced, lighten flywheel and balanced, Bosh 009 distrubiters, dual 44 webber carburetors, full header exhaust system, car is not set up for heat This car is in EMACULENT condition. It has won many awards. It has won several 1st place awards throughout the midwest. In 2008 it won top 25 at the Frankenmuth Autofest, there were over 4,000 cars entered! The car was entered in 2 seater sports car class, beating out every early corvette that showed! It has won best paint and best motor several times! This car has been a one of a kind at every show its been to! Has won many 1st place midwest awards at Porshe and Volkswagen shows, I have all the awards to prove it!!! Not sure if the awards will go with the car or stay with me! The car will come with original chrome for front and rear window, new rubber and after market chrome ($500) that was never installed. Any other items that I have for the car I will include. Windows are tinted limo in rear and 35 on driver & passenger doors The car was appraised for 23,000 and it is currently insured for this amount. We have been involved with VW's for the past 20 years, from dragging them out of farm fields, to swap meets to the most prestigious shows in the midwest I am willing to answer any questions regarding the car.
