RARE OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A TRUE BARN FIND CLASSIC WITH THIS 1948 FORD F-1! The exterior features slightly off white paint with period teal fenders and bumper. There is some rust on the fenders, but the cab and doors are perfect. The doors close like a refrigerator. On those doors is original artwork from the repair shop that this truck once served. It is rare to find door art in such good original condition. There is just the right amount of patina on this body. The interior is in very cood condition with the seat covering in good condition, the rubber floor mat in good condition, the pedal pads are in good condition. All of the original gauges work, the original horn works. The original am radio is present with wiring and underdash speaker but does not function. The flathead 6 runs perfectly and smoothly. Starts easily and runs sewing machine smooth. It has new plugs, coil, and battery. The floor mounted shifter three speed transmission and clutch operate perfectly. This truck has been in a storage container since 1979. The 1979 registration sticker is on the license plate, the failing state inspection sticker from 1979 is in the window. The inspection card and re-inspection documents are in the glovebox from 1979. While this is a great find a small amount of work is yet to be done. This truck needs a master cylinder, there is no brake pressure. It needs a water pump and I would recomend a radiator. The gas tank had gas in it when stored, I am currently running it off of a gas can. It also needs tires although three of the 4 hold air, the 4th leaks down over a three day period. The rear tires are original flying A brand and would make a great collectible in their own right. Everybody is hunting for barn finds and they are getting tougher to find as more classics are discovered. This is a great opportunity to own a true barn find!On May-04-11 at 07:51:52 PDT, seller added the following information:I have lowered the reserve so the next bid will remove the reserve.
