Vehicle Detail
Quite possibly the nicest 7.3 diesel F550 on the planet. Truck is a gorgeous, mint, rust free, powerful, low mileage, one owner, pampered, needs nothing F550 XLT Super Duty 4x4 with 12' dump bed. I bought it recently from the original owner/operator who is closing his business and moving to Hawaii. He ordered this truck new with the long wheel base, plow prep package, posi traction, extra heavy springs, 4.88 gears and had the dealer put on a Fisher plow thinking he would service his summertime customers in the winter. Didn't realize how big the truck would be. Not really manuverable for small areas. So he never developed a route and sold the blade. The truck was parked during the winters while he went to Hawaii. So there never has been rust and 4x4 was rarely engaged. This has been a suburban queen, not a woods truck. Never hauled salt or rocks. I put on a 9' Fisher blade from another truck and plowed once to test it. Plows like a freight train. There is no substitute for torque, traction and mass when it comes to pushing snow. Truck is being sold with Fisher push plates and wiring harness, ready for your blade. This great truck shows pride of ownership with $10,000 in upgrades like stainless steel wheel simulators, nerf bars, under body lockable aluminum tool bins, Billet grills, rain guards, visor, bug deflector, Husky floor mats, trailer brake control, pintle hitch, Fisher plow plates and harness and a $5,000 Banks Power Command integrated system. The Bank's upgrades include an intercooler, air intake, turbo, waste gate, stainless oversize exhaust, transmission shift kit control, gauges for the turbo boost, exhaust and tranny temp. Increases air flow and provides an extra 100+ horsepower while decreasing temptemperatures and increasing mileage. Banks has been a leader for decades in the quest for improving performance and economy and has a rock solid reputation. Bank's upgrades were done when truck was brand new. Truck drives like it is on steroids. I just hauled two cords of firewood up to my outdoor furnace in a single gulp and it didn't break a sweat. Most of you probably know but the F550 is the big boy in the Ford light duty line up. It is NOT an F350 with extra springs. The chassis is heavier along with all the suspension pieces. The wheels on an F350 are 16" vs 19.5". The gross vehicle weight of the F350 is around 12,500 vs 17,500 but the F550 still falls below the need for a commercial drivers license or CDL. Also easier at state inspection time with less stringent requirements. The pictures give you an idea how nice the truck is. It drives equally well. No smoke, leaks, shakes, smells or warning lights. Goes in and out of four wheel drive easily and hub locks turn freely. Front tires are brand new and rears are 85%. Disc brakes at all four corners are 90%. 4 new Monroe shocks. Side boards are brand new 2" thick oak planks. Goes down the road perfectly straight and stops with no pulsating. Fully DOT compliant with safety kit, extinguisher, back up alarm and body up alarm. All fluids and filters were changed out including the transmission. New winter wipers. Glass is crystal clear, no chips, cracks or scratches. Undercarriage was rust free and I had it undercoated to keep it that way. Starts fine in the cold and there is a block heater for extreme weather. Truck is mint mechanically and cosmetically and needs nothing. At only 28,000 miles it compares well with the new $65,000 trucks, only this one has a proven drive train. I took it to a Ford dealer and had them do a thorough inspection. Written report is 100% positive. Defects? Only a couple small cosmetic ones. The left fender has a couple very small indentations and there are a few small touched up scratch marks here and there. I tried to show them but they are hard to see. Paint is deep and fade free. Just washed it and the water beads up on the hood just the way you want to see it. Everything works on this XLT as it should. This includes the power windows, locks, mirrors, cruise control, heat, A/C, delay wipers, AM/FM/CD/Tape radio, gauges, bulbs, etc. The seats are firm with no rips or stains. No wear on steering wheel or door panels. No cracks in dash, etc. The mirrors extend for towing and fold in for tight spaces. As an automotive enthusiast who loves to find em, fix em and farm em out, I know what it is like to buy long distance. I hate to be disappointed and I work hard to make sure you won't be. I describe accurately and am happy to meet you with the truck at the Manchester NH airport for your pleasurable ride home. I also offer a 100% money back gurantee. You must love the truck when you see it in NH or you get a full refund. Simple as that. Life is too short to not get exactly what you want. Please have your funds and permissions prior to bidding. I have the clear title in hand. Feel free to contact me with questions, to arrange an inspection or to make an offer at 603.455.2288.
