Vehicle Detail
1965 Plymouth Belvedere 1 (race car) Hemi Super Stock look a like. Older race car quality paint job with minor dings and scratches. It is a Los Angeles built original V-8 and is extremely rare being one of 1,582 post built in 1965. It has an 8 3/4 narrowed 411 sure grip rear end, super stock springs and 50/50 mopar shocks with weld wheels and hoosier 10.5 inch slicks. The transmission is a 727 A/T with a Hurst rachet shifter and a turbo action 509J-5000 stall race converter. The car has an MP brake front disc setup with slotted rotors, a Hurst line-lock and 90/10 front shocks. Engine is a 1969 .030 over 440 with TRWL2335F 6-pack pistons on stock rods, a stock crank and ARP main studs, fluid dampener, miloden 7 qt. oil pan and 1/2 inch oil pickup, stainless valves, and Harland sharp 1.5 roller rockers. The cam is a Hughes Hev-5663 BS, mopar M-1 intake with an 850 quick fuel carb. It has a mopar electric tach drive, aluminum water pump housing with Moroso electric water pump and Hayden electric cooling fan. There is a roll cage with a driver swing out arm. I purchased this car late last summer. The previous owner claimed that the car was capable of low 11's, high 10's with 60 foot times of 1.50. He also insisted to do nothing to the car and go straight to the track. (so I did) For me, the car turned an 11.52 with a 1.65 60 foot time fairly consistently on 4 runs the first and only time out. It was obvious to me that the car had more in it and I was anxiously looking forward to this season, when the only quarter mile track in the St. Louis area shut down. Therein lies the reason for selling the car. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time as the vehicle is also for sale locally. The car is for sale as is, where is and no warranties have been written, expressed or implied. Vehicle may be inspected and seen by appointment. Any questions call Bill 636-219-7298. Since it was a race car, I never changed title to my name.
